Dead Rising: Look at Stuff Till You Drop [update]
Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop may not feature the epic hordes of zombies found in its predecessor, but Capcom has delivered one shambling mass -- of media. If it enhances your appreciation of the Wii adaptation, you can imagine each of the thirty-nine screenshots featured in the latest release dragging its way out of our gallery, moaning eerily for your clicks.
After the break (on account of the gore and all), we have one brand-new trailer, and one very welcome repeat performance. The new trailer shows one of the trademarks of the game: using random junk around the mall as weaponry. The not-so-new trailer? The GaGaGa SP theme song video with subtitles!
[Update: the "new" trailer turned out to be a repeat as well. Very sorry about that, but the GaGaGa SP video is still as fun as ever, at least!]

Can someone tell how is the Save System going to work on this Wii version of the game.

Supposedly they completely dumped the 360's save system in favor of one where you can take on missions as you choose.
..thank GOD. Dead Rising's save system on the 360 is THE stupidest fucking thing in the world. I've never had to restart a game as many times as I have Dead Rising because I inadvertently saved myself into a corner.

I'm still pissed that they "combined repetitive items". I can mostly forgive the lessened zombie count, but taking out items is just friggin' stupid.

I love my Wii, but as time goes on it becomes more and more apparent how visually gimped it is.

Looks great! When I owned a 360, DEAD RISING was one of the few games that I played through to completion. And it was one of the games that I missed when I traded the 360 in.
I'm looking forward to returning to the Willamette Mall on the Wii!
