At home in Monster Hunter G's Kokoto Village
Our first devent look at Monster Hunter G's Wii visuals comes from Famitsu's introduction to Kokoto Village, the main town location in the game. As for those visuals, they fall squarely into the "kinda rough" range, as we'd expect from an unaltered PS2 game.
The town features a farm, which provides extra items to players willing to spend the time on upgrades and minigames. It also features various shops including weapon and armor shops. Many of the Famitsu shots show possible armor configurations, against a backdrop of the house containing the item box you can use to store those weapons and armor.

PS2 port actually. The PSP doesn't have the main Monster Hunter series. It has the Portable/Freedom series, and while Monster Hunter Unite doesn't have the Freedom title over here it is still a Freedom game as it is Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G over in Japan.

Wait, does WiiWare have a 42 MB game size limit or not? http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2009/01/07/iphone-adventure-game-1112-coming-to-wiiware/
Because I'm preeeetty sure a port of a PS2 game isn't going to fit in 42 MB.

This isn't a WiiWare game.

Problem solved.
But what's up with this port? Why not port Monster Hunter 2, you know?
So weird...
Oh, is the Wii version online, then?
