3 million copies of Wii Fit sold in Japan

How many of you ended up snagging a copy of Wii Fit? Does it still get used in the house? Or is it gathering dust in some dark closet somewhere?

i got wii fit the day it came out. i started out strong, using it daily. i then waned quite a bit over the late summer and fall, eventually stopping completely. over the past couple of weeks i have picked it back up again. i recently got the gold, or whatever, fit credit bank for completing 10 hours.

Weird, I did the same thing. Used it religiously for about 3 months, then dropped it completely. In the last week or two I finally started "playing" it again.

Yeah, I use it like most people use a gym membership. Daily every day for a month or two at a time, then not for weeks and weeks, but then back to daily again...
I like it a lot and still consider it a worthwhile investment! Though i gotta say i get really sad when i didn't use it over the holidays and got back on Monday and it said i was +7lb :-/ but i'm still about 8lb under the first day I had it, and that's something.

I still have yet to pick it up. To me it's only appealing for the balance board and not so much the game

I did the body test daily for about 5 straight months.
Now I only do the body test about twice a week.
The other parts will get used more since the weather is bad here in the winter.
Too bad Animal Crossing doesn't make use of it. It would have been nice to have balance contests with town visitors.

the only game in the world that tells you how fat you are! LOL this things sucks and is boring maybe ill use it again when they make decent games for it.

I use my balance board almost daily for SKate It! and pretty often for Shaun White Snowboarding. They are two excellent games that both use the balance board. Hell, I've played just about every single console skateboarding game ever made, and Skate It! is hands down my favorite of all time. My girlfriend also uses it all the time with friends to play Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, a game she enjoys very much. WTF are you talking about saying "when they make decent games for it".
Damn it. There goes my New Years resolution. So much for not feeding trolls this year.

:P that was a grammatical masterpiece, ddude.
It had great opinions and several points! It made us all change our mind of the game!

Dust.

Using it so much we had to send it off for repairs eventually. :D Using it so much that I bought my best friend the biggest birthday present I've ever bought her--a Wii and Wii Fit (and that was hard to do back in August!).
I'm not surprised that some people bought it and didn't like it (mostly serious gamers who aren't interested in doing anything else, I think). But as someone who's both a serious gamer AND needs to exercise more, it's great for me (and it's great for my friend, who's a casual gamer).

My Wii Fit game is collecting dust, but I love my board! It's compatible with so many games - especially Raving Rabbid!

I've been trying to find one for my sister, but after gaining a bit of weight in college, I'm considering buying one for myself.

Got it at launch, started using it religiously nearly every weekday morning since July, though I've been lax lately due to moving into a new house over the holidays, plus a bit of a back problem that developed limiting my doing any high-impact exercises (was doing jogging on Wii Fit every morning). But that aside, along with a calorie-counting regiment, I've lost 60+ lbs since July 17th, 2008 with my Fit Credit Bank is up over 40 hours.
Had I been smart, I would have made a website to track my activity and maybe Nintendo would have made me a Jared-like poster-boy for the game, but I honestly didn't think I was going to lose weight like this.
Yeah, I know the eating better was probably a larger part of my weight loss than the Wii Fit, but the exercise on Wii Fit was still part of the overall package.

Wow, Eddy, that's fantastic! Kudos to you! We got the Wii and Wii Fit for Christmas and haven't stopped yet...my daughter and I have been using it every day. We are not gamers, but needed to exercise, and this is great! I do Yoga every morning and alternate the others in the afternoons. The games are fun, and the exercises challenging. We've also been doing some of the sports, got Family Game Night as a gift, and can't wait to get Mario Kart. I am glad there is an interactive game that gets my teenager off her butt! (and me, too!)
