DS Daily: Winners and losers
There's a lot to love about multiplayer gaming on the DS, but playing nicely is also important, reader! With this in mind, how do you, as a gamer, take winning and losing? Are you a gracious victor, full of consoling statements for the vanquished, or do you love nothing more than gloating in the faces of the fallen?
Likewise, are you capable of losing with grace, or do you get stroppy and sulky?

I'd like to say that I am always gracious in victory but honestly it depends on how close the race, or fight was. If it came 'down to the wire' then I am more likely to gloat a bit.
If I loose I usually call for a rematch. But I don't accuse anyone of cheating, even if they got a hundred spiny-homing-shells.

I'm a gracious loser. I remember I used to have (girl neighbor) whom I had to let win once in a while so she didn't go on rampage. And we were teens not kids! ugh.
But more important, today is Three Kings Day and we Hispanics get a second round of morning gifts. woot!

I don't like people sandbagging, if people sandbag I get pissed. I just had to learn to deal with losing to people who only get joy out of destroying noobs at the last second.

I'm a gracious winner. But I hate to say it, I'm a sore loser. But hey, I've actually never lost. It's the connection's problem. It's the control's problem. It's Friday 13th's problem. You know what I mean?

Depending:
If I win, I don't boast it,
If I lose, and the winner is not beign annoying, we usually laugh and play again.
If I lose, and the winner start gloating, and wins fairly (not button mashing or cheats), I do nothing, because it never happened to me lol.
If I lose and the winner is cheating or is a noob that button mash or is just beign an idiot, and boasts the win, it annoys the hell out of me, I play again, kick his ass, humiliate him, and start boasting that win every time we play the game.
An example is how my brother gave the controller to my 6 year old cousin, started mashing buttons and doing random special atacks, and killed me 1 time, of course my brother started laughing and told everybody that my little cousin defeated me, then I made him play against my cousing, and he lost, and of course that was a sweet revenge.
The game was castlevania judgement (lol), if you can win button mashing that shows that the game isn't well made, and when a noob abuses it, it becomes much more annoying (and usually noobs start bragging when they win, only for you to kick they ass until they shut up)

When I win, I try to repeat strategies I used TO win. Usually it leads to my loss though.
When I lose, I think of what the other person did TO win, and I try to make counter strategies for the next game.
I'm gracious in victory, usually commenting on how I may of had more practice or how I just "got lucky". If I lose, I wait for the other person to say something. If they don't brag, then we continue. If they brag, then I make sure to play my best the next time.

Theoretically, I am a gracious loser.
Of course, I've never actually lost to anyone in my life, in video games or anything else. I support myself with lottery tickets.
