Food Delivery Channel arriving hot and fresh in Japan in 2009
Wii owners in Japan who don't feel like cooking a recipe from their DS will no longer be doomed to a meal free of Nintendo's influence. A company called Yume no Machi will release a new channel next year that will allow people to order delivery directly from the Wii. IGN predicted just such a thing back in 2007!The Demae (Food Delivery) Channel will feature a list of 8,500 different restaurants, organized and browsable by genre, from which food can be ordered. Genres include pizza, bento, Chinese, sushi, curry, and more. Each restaurant's listing offers an estimate of delivery time. After placing the order on the Wii, it is faxed to the restaurant, who then sends it on to the customer. The Channel keeps a history of your orders, so users can remember where they've eaten lately and what they had.

I see more channels and less space to put them in.

Why is Japan getting all the cool channels when we're stuck with a crappy voting channel.
Not that I'd actually use it, nor would I have the space for it, like rodjoh said. The storage issue is in a pretty bad state.
It's a shame their holding the solution back for marketing reasons (My guess).

i think its a pretty good idea. you can pop into the wii menu, order a pizza, and you and your friends can play mario kart while waiting for the food.

I really like this idea, but the delivery infrastructure is so weak around my house
But in Philly...

I think it's a great idea, they should bring it over.
