Monster Hunter G coming to Wii, for some reason
Not that we're complaining! Monster Hunter 3 (tri-) will probably launch in Japan next year, but first the port-happy Capcom wants to get you in the mood/tide you over with ... more Monster Hunter! Famitsu reveals that Monster Hunter G, an extra frills edition of the first Monster Hunter game, will be coming to Japanese Wiis in the spring.
The Wii version, which Famitsu says (with ridiculous specifity) is 77% complete, will allow you to choose from PS2 or PSP controls, has widescreen support, and is apparently a near-identical port. Will we see this in places that aren't Japan? We hope so! The title already came to the west (as Monster Hunter Freedom), but only on the PSP.

Nothing wrong with more Monster Hunter. That's what I always say, anyway.
Plus, first post from my new computer. Hooray!

I do agree that its weird. You think they'd give us Unite if they were just going to do this.
Too bad they can't give us Frontier though. The only bad thing about it is that it would completely overshadow Tri.

Well, I was just about to get myself a copy of Monter Hunter 2 Freedom for my PSP tomorrow (Boxing Day), but this changes everything.

Wait until Q2 '09, IIRC, and pick up Unite. Its Freedom 2 G under a different name.

I still think you should, MHF2 will change your life.

Not bad, wouldn't mind getting a chance to re-make my old ps2 MH character again.....but only if online is available, if it isn't then this is a rather useless port since multiplayer is the shine of this game. On a side note, MHG (ps2) was actually an upgrade for Japan since their original MH for ps2 did not include dual swords (for the main part from what I remember). MHG gave them basically what US had as MH, but with still some more added content that we eventually saw in MHF (psp). MHF on the other hand, has even MORE content than MHG had....I just checked the wikipedia and realise that the information on there does say what is posted above....but it seems new-comers (psp-intro) have been editing it.
