Successful GTA on DS could lead to more mature Take-Two games on Wii
Take-Two expects Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the DS to do quite well. The company hasn't really been putting their Mature-rated content on Nintendo systems that often, aside from the notorious Manhunt 2. But that's probably going to change in the near future, and, according to CEO Ben Feder, the company will be looking at the performance of GTA to help guide their plans on Wii: "... Even the M-rated content that we think is much more appropriate for the PS3 or 360," he said in a financial earnings call, "we have to look at the Wii as a viable platform across all our labels." Not just the sports games and the Carnival Games! Feder said that Take-Two is going to do "a lot of learning" with Chinatown Wars.
We're of the opinion that all Take-Two really has to do is make some high-quality original games and market them like they would any of their mature titles. At least they aren't just taking the easy way out and putting out an exclusively Carnival Games lineup.

We tore this one apart over at VGChartz, because if you really read it, it sounds like an apology "i'm sorry we have to acknowledge Wii, i really am, but we have to" and it really mirrors other "Ok, now's when we're gonna shape up our Wii development" speeches that we've seen in the past from others
But the thing is, Take-Two does need Wii. Revenue is up half a billion, but they post a 10 million dollar loss for that same period. This is a pattern starting to afflict a lot of the groups that have invested heavily in the PS360. Revenue is up, but losses are posted, or profits are razor-thin.

Did ya ever played Driver: Parallel Lines?
I think the game is pretty awesome, on par with GTA: San Andreas (of course, Driver has less features, but because it focus more on the driver part than Thief part) but i'm playing that game and man i'm having a blast, and those sequences of strikes with another cars, on par with the ones seen on Burnout, IMO of course.
I can see a GTA for Wii just like that, and man, they have double layer dvd's, they can do a ton of things, if GTA4 on 360 is on a DLDVD.
Also, bring online play, but give us the chance to use our own mii's to play the game, mii based online play would be pretty cool!!!!

Why is M-rated content more appropriate on the ps360?
This is why they get on my nerves. They only seem to make real money on bloody on GTA, and don't actually give us any real decent games aside from that franchise.
They could have did this a long time ago, but they were being bull headed. Hopefully with the advent of the quantum 3 engine they will make some decent games for the wii, instead of being ignorant of the consoles merits.

can you blame Take2 for being a little apprehensive about developing/publishing on Nintendo platforms?
YES these Nintendo consoles are capable of running the games,
BUT who exactly is going to buy these games if:
1. Your core gamer already owns a PC/PS3/360
2. You're dealing with a demographic which is a majority of people who do not want anything to do with mature franchises.
I know the Wii/DS platforms can do things the PC/PS3/360 cannot (especially when it comes to touch and motion) but will that difference in design really sell not just you but every other hardcore gamer that has to make a decision between these Two different versions of the same game?
You hardcore nintendo gamers are out there, but our presence is rarely felt. I had to play devil's advocate on this one. I'll do my part in supporting Take2 but I expect the quality they've been delivering on the other systems and not just some easy money porting.

I think that a real hardcore gamer would preffer the wii version over the ps360 one if the wii version have better controls, and plays better, the only things the xbox and the ps3 can give you is better technical capacity, but the control is far superior on the wii.
And why gta is considered hardcore? As far as I know is really casual (or at least that's what I've seen), the game is only blood and violence, if at least it had a decent story and controls (it plays really bad, or at least the ones I played). Violence don't make harcore games. Neither does graphics or sound.

Too Late.
2 years in for me and I'm tired of no adult games I headed to 360 a while back to get my non Miyamoto game fix since there wasn't ANYTHING since May to play on Wii.
And given that every news channel flips a shit whenever the Wii does ANYTHING remotely controversial.I guess I'll continue getting my non mini game fix from there.
I ready to sell my Wii at this point just found a buyer and if he actually comes through with the money I'm out of here I guess.
It's been fun guys {at least until Nintendo stopped making games for the Non elderly or babies}
