First tracks, deets for Guitar Hero: Metallica

With all the recent chatter about Guitar Hero World Tour, you can be forgiven if Guitar Hero: Metallica slipped from your radar. It's still very much coming, though, and the latest issue of Game Informer has fresh details and the first tracks, from both Metallica themselves and the other acts that will feature.

The game will come with the full suite of World Tour instruments, and Vicarious Visions plans to add "Metallica drum sounds" and a selection of guitar and bass "tones" used by Metallica's James Hetfield and Tom Araya of Slayer to the GH Tunes music studio. There will also be a new, extra-hard drum difficulty for those with a splitter and two kick pedals. Having picked up Guitar Hero games again after a long break, the last thing we personally need is greater difficulty, but freaks experts will appreciate that.

Check out the first Metallica and non-Metallica tracks after the break!

Metallica tracks:
  • Enter Sandman
  • For Whom The Bell Tolls
  • Fuel
  • Hit The Lights
  • King Nothing
  • Master of Puppets
  • No Leaf Clover
  • Nothing Else Matters
  • Sad But True
  • The Unforgiven
  • Where I May Roam
Other tracks:
  • "No Excuses" by Alice In Chains
  • "Turn The Page" by Bob Seger
  • "Hell Bent For Leather" by Judas Priest
  • "Demon Cleaner" by Kyuss
  • "Tuesdays Gone" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • "Blood and Thunder" by Mastodon
  • "Armed and Ready" by Michael Schenker Group
  • "Mother of Mercy" by Samhain
  • "Black River" by The Sword
Contributions from Queen, Slayer and Foo Fighters are also promised, but Activision is keeping schtum about those for now.
