Ghostbusters spooking you out in June 2009
Atari recently caught the Ghostbusters game in its ghost trap, and has now revealed a release date for the title -- the once-shaky project will escape its Ecto-Containment Unit in June 2009! There's no word yet on which region that date is for, though Atari's press gathering is taking place in the UK, for what that's worth.Who's excited, then? We noticed a few naysayers in the comments of our last Ghostbusters post, but the involvement of (Mushroom Men creator) Red Fly gives us confidence!

On the subject of naysayers, I have to say this: I think need Atari / RedFly really need to offer some justification on the Wii version. There's no doubt that the PS3 / 360 version looks phenomenal and I understand that, on a technical level, the Wii just couldn't handle a watered down port but, hear me out here: of the three consoles, the Wii is still outselling the other two by a considerable margin. Ignoring installed userbase for just a second, I would think that making the Wii version to appeal to the same audience as the PS3 / 360 versions would be an important thing. I really hope, in it's current state, that this game packs alot of punch despite it's graphical shortcomings.
