Mod turns GameCube controller into a Classic Controller

This may not be the most groundbreaking mod around, but it's one that would allow you to play things like Mega Man 9 with your GameCube controller. Created by Marcan42, the above mod uses a special adapter which plugs into the Wiimote just like a Classic Controller, allowing him to trick the system into thinking the GameCube controller is a Classic Controller. You can play sideways WiiMote games like Mega Man 9 and most WiiWare games with a GCN controlller.

Seems to me that the only point in this is for navigating the System Menu.

The point is, Classic Controller analog placement sucks. I still can't imagine what Ninty was thinking there. This is a sweet setup to use a gamecube controller in games that don't support it, but do support the CC, like Monster Hunter 3.

you could use that with one of those adapters to use a SNES controller or NES controller

Awesome. I might have to get one of these because, and this might just be me, Wavebirds seem to lag a bit which isn't good for Smash Bros :(

You can get NES and SNES adapters for the Wii commercially. Sadly, they connect to the console, not the Wiimote.

ok you are kidding right? everyone here seriously believes this guy did this? before i start i want to say even IF he did then why use it on mario kart when it already supports gamecube controllers n the first place!

seriously, just plug it in regularly and it works and if this guy took the time to do this then he needs to look up compatibility first before he wastes his time like this
