Resellers taking advantage of World Tour shortages
It's not so hard to believe, really. People have been doing it for many years now, since the Tickle Me Elmo dolls became so popular, really. Folks did it the last two years with the Wii and now, with the news that Guitar Hero: World Tour's full band kit bundle could be kind of scarce during the holidays, folks are taking advantage yet again.
"In order to assess continued demand for the title, we conducted proprietary channel checks both at major online retailers and at bricks-and-mortar retail locations across the country," said analysts at Cowen and Company, adding: "resellers on Amazon.com are pricing the band kit at close to USD 300, well above the USD 189 list price." Wow, that's quite the significant increase. While not as severe as it is on Amazon, eBay users are also selling the full band kit at higher prices than it should.
Remember, holiday shoppers: get out there early and get out there often. If you're trying to track down one of the full band kits for Guitar Hero: World Tour, then we'd suggest you get on a first name basis with the store managers in your area.

Yeaaaaaaaaah... my parents have been trying to get this for our family for a while. I told them to pre-order it... didn't listen. Now it's near impossible to find one. I was lucky enough to stumble upon a kit at our local EB Games- but of course, they were too busy to get it.
>:( Am I the only person that takes video-games seriously in my family!? I was the one that stood in line at Target to get the Wii, too.

I bought mine online a few weeks ago from Dell. With 15% off and free shipping even. Thanks Slickdeals.net !

Screw Dell, they just delayed everyone's orders to mid December. Meanwhile, the one from F-Mart I just ordered should be in store in a few days.

I got mine from walmart.com the other week and I got free shipping to the store. They then sent me an email with a code for 20 free mp3 downloads from their website as some promotion with the game. I received the game within 5 days of ordering it at the store pick up. I just checked and walmart still has them in stock online.

This sucks. I had ordered it online at bestbuy.com to pick up. They had some in stock. Well of course, I went to pick it up, and they don't know what happen to my box. They were out. So they gave me $30, but that was 3 weeks ago. I'm still waiting to hear from them. UGGGGHHHHH.

So I was going buy this in a few weeks when I got some money but I had a feeling there were going to be shortages. So last week, I checked at Best Buy and they just got a new shipment in so I made my mom buy this for me and my sisters for Christmas. Sucks that its sitting in a closet and I cant even play it but hey, at I least I have it and I know that I'll enjoy Christmas morning.
