Wii Warm Up: Joy be thine
Christmas: for those who celebrate it, a time of joy, happiness, togetherness, and rampant, ugly consumerism. Love it or hate it, you can't exactly ignore it, so let's talk some more about your plans for this season of "love and laughter and joy" (thanks, Cliff). Which Wii games do you plan to put on your list to Santa, and -- more importantly -- what will you be buying others?

I'm hoping to get either rygar, deadly creatures, or tales of symphonia, or even zelda since i haven't picked it up yet. I'm gifting some of my friends some wii-ware games, but i won't say what since one of them might actually read this.

Sonic Chronicles is the only game on my list. I also "get" an HDTV for the basement so that i don't have to drag the TV i have here at college back home for break (since i'm going by train)
Ok, maybe Bomberman Blast also

Gifts I intend to buy myself this season
- Sonic Unleashed
- Another wii remote
- the promisse of not spending too much on the Wii in 2009
I hope to be able to get all 3. Seems unlikely.

I just hope to get Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for Christmas this year.
I'd be happy just with it. It's the only Wii game I'm looking forward to as of right now.
scissors125 @ Nov 20th 2008 8:47AM
Oh yeah, I wouldn't also mind getting another Wiimote w/ a classic controller.
vidGuy @ Nov 20th 2008 9:00AM
That video never gets old. I was about that kid's age when I got the SNES for Christmas and I'm sure I was just as excited. Bummer I had to grow up and earn my own money to buy the N64.
I'd like to get Mario Kart Wii this year - I wasn't able to find it for the longest time, and when I did I didn't have the cash. It's a fun group game so it would make a great gift over the holiday.
gorecki @ Nov 20th 2008 9:12AM
I have asked for a few games that I missed at release:
Okami
Sam and Max Season One
samfish @ Nov 20th 2008 10:06AM
I might ask for Mushroom Men as a gift. Or I might just buy it.
...I'm hard to shop for because of that.
That said, I'll probably buy my mom a game. I'll find out if she likes Wii Music this weekend. I hope she does, because if not I have no friggin' clue what to get her. This Christmas kinda sucks for the casual side, too.

This video reminds me when I was young
I'm from Korea. (ROK)
My Dad bought me SNES when he went to Japan 1994. I was the only kid in the town who had SNES. I never forget the moment playing Mario Paint, and the mini game which I had to kill all the flies.
I had
Donkey Kong Country
Mario Paint
Super Metroid
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario All stars
(now I have over 30 games, including Japanese Import.)
I loved SNES. I didn't even know what the Nintendo was.
My family just called as Gaming system...
I never had any gaming system after SNES... My mom hated me playing video games...
I miss that time... now, I don't get to play wii with my family because I'm in U.S.
I don't think that Nintendo can bring back all the good times we had before, not the same satisfaction wii find from Wii.
I love Nintendo.

What part of Korea are you from? I am an American currently living in Chuncheon. I was excited when I found they sell the Wii over here and we were able to pick up a second controller for our console that we brought over. That must have been a special time for you being one of the few owning a Nintendo system, considering Nintendo did not have a lot of presence in Korea due to the legalities of a Japanese company selling "cultural" stuff in Korea. Crazy!

I'm from Incheon.

That video was great :]
Getting a gaming system always makes you a little giddy inside, no matter how old you are!
This year, all my family wants to do is get a new computer, and I may get an HDTV :]

I just picked up a Wii yesterday for somebody who'll remain nameless (in case they're reading this), and later remembered that it was the Wii's birthday. 2 years ago I was getting my own Wii, and now I was going to share the joy with someone else.
I also picked up another Nyko Perfect Shot as a gift, and I'm trying to find a copy of Target Terror to go with that for a friend's son, and I'm getting Samba de Amigo for his daughter.
If I ask anyone for a game, it'll probably be Wario Land Shake It.
Garu @ Nov 20th 2008 11:28AM
I'm not really asking for any games this year... maybe teh Sean White Snowboarding game from Target... with the bonus level.
I may buy my wife Carnival Games: MiniGolf as she LOVES playing mini golf. I wish it would get reviewd by the Wiiviewr on YouTube first. Or by David Hinkle!
Roto13 @ Nov 20th 2008 11:38AM
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and possibly Sonic Unleashed.
But that's it.
