Wii to get DiRTy in 2009

The sequel to 2007's gem of a racing game, DiRT, is going to be releasing on Wii, says Codemasters. What do we say? Yay! We're pumped!

The Wii version will release simultaneously with the other console ports of the game next year, and is to include a "tuned-up car-handling physics system" and "new damage engine effects." We're hoping the game will be solid on the Wii, as it could benefit from the Wiimote. Think Excite Truck, but better.

So, who's excited for DiRT 2 next year?

Man, i love my dirty on my Wii....... oh!, oh, you mean Dirty the game, ok, ok..... uuuuuummm.... ok.... seems nice, and, um..... man, i feel so ashamed.....

I'm hoping to see more serious releases like this hitting as publishers can't ignore the huge install base of Wii. I'm loving Call of Duty 5 on Wii and look forward to Dirt 2!

I'm probably going to pick it up on the 360 instead just because the Wii will most likely get the gimped version. Also, I wouldn't be comparing DiRT with Excite Truck.. DiRT isn't what I call a simulator, but it's definately not the "float for 30 seconds in the air like a plane" arcade play that defines Excite Truck.

But man oh man if Nintendo is listening... PLEASE make Excite Truck 2 already! Love that game..
