Nyko ups the ante, introduces the Quad charger
Nyko is doubling the effectiveness of their previous charging dock, adding two more slots and two more NiMH rechargeable battery packs to the mix. Dubbed the Nyko Quad Charger, the new charging station will be available in North America next month, just in time for the holidays, and will cost you $49.99.
Hit up our gallery below for a closer look at the docking station.
We've spent some time with other Nyko gadgetry before. Just recently, we put the Wing wireless controller through its paces, as well as the Kama Wireless Nunchuck and the Perfect Shot. Don't forget about their Frontman guitar, either. And, please, take a minute to remember the dearly de-partied Party Station.

Again with the grips? Doesn't that mean these won't work with Wii wheels? Not to mention guitar controllers? And most importantly, what am I supposed to do with these uncontained chips and warm soda? Why don't you return my emails?!? Answer me Nyko!!

maybe they'll fix the problem that the backings wont let you *properly* use any peripheral, seeing as now it is too fat. God, i knew i should've read reviews first....i didnt know until after I bought it. I spent 3 weeks looking for a Nyko Wii Charge Station, bought the first one i saw, and was very disappointed by that fact. Any way i can fix that? other than using real batteries?

Did I miss something? I use the nyko charge station grips, and my wiimotes still fit perfectly fine into both my wii wheel and my guitar hero controller.

I had heard they didn't fit. Or maybe just that they threw the weight off for the wheels. *shrug* that's why I asked.

@Gewurz
I hope I didn't come off as a jerk, but I am really curious. I love my grips, and had never heard they didn't fit in anything, and then the first two comments here said there were problems with them. I think they stick out of the wii wheel by like a millimeter, but it wasn't even close to enough to bother me, and they definitely fit in the guitar hero III guitar just fine.
And, I do also wonder whether or not Nyko will make a premium version with chip and soda storage. Maybe they'll up the ante and include a tray for finger sandwiches. =D

Not at all, not at all. The thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I was under the impression the grips made the remote too large to fit so I'm glad to hear I was wrong. I searched for links to that effect, but it hardly matters. I may consider a purchase one day after all.
Also, my chip & soda comment was a reference to the ill-conceived Party Station. There's a link above and now also here:

okay, well, its not that they dont fit, its just that its a tight squeeze. You cant use it with the zapper (too thick that the little pegs cant go in their holes) it barely fits in the guitar hero guitar (havent tried the frontman) but you could take the padding out and it'd probly work, and in the wii-wheel, the b-button on the wheel will rarely work and the wiimote will stick out farther than it is supposed to. So, thats why i said that.

That would be nice, if even just for storage.
