Ultimate Shooting Collection targets December release

Yes, the localized version of Milestone's Ultimate Shooting Collection may have horribly generic boxart (seriously, compare this to the Japanese box and weep), but we still want the game badly.Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait. Previously, the game was scheduled to come out on November 11th, but as it isn't in our homes right now, we had to assume it had slipped. When contacted, publisher UFO Interactive confirmed our worst fears: the new release date is December 15th, right in the middle of the Christmas rush. Pew pew your way past the break for a trailer.

I have to actually agree with Fanboy on this one, the art is very.....bland, although still looks good, but definatly not originaly compared to the japanese version. The style of the japanese, although it has been seen before, definatly blows this out of the water. But taking a step back and comparing them both to box art in general, they both lack originality.

The problem I have with the American packaging is that it's the sort of thing that guarantees, if I didn't know what this game actually is, that I would never even give it a chance if I saw it on a store shelf. I wouldn't even remember it long enough to look up something about it when I got home.

The Japanese artwork was just some pencil sketches and wireframes of the 3 ships. Why is everyone making such a big deal with that packaging? Especially here in the States when a simple package like that would get lost in the mix. Good work on the artwork here, though that does not matter. It's all about the content and this one has 3 of them I would import separately. No one does shooters anymore. Keep bringing them over UFO.

HOLY CRAP!!! RADIRGY AND KAROUS!! I LOVE YOU UFO GAMES!!! Yes, I did type out those semi-quasi sentences in ALL CAPS showing my excitement for this collection to finally have a release date! I've been waiting for this collection ever since O3 games announced(but apparently disappeared)!
