Wii Warm Up: Animal Songwriting

Okay, this one's for all the Animal Crossing nerds -- the people who dutifully ~~changed their system's date~~ played every Saturday night just for a new performance by an anthropomorphic dog with a MIDI voice. Of all the K.K. Slider jams you've caught at the train station or the coffee shop, which is your favorite?

We've embedded our pick, "K.K. Song", not because it's a great song, but because it's a weird piece of Nintendo history from K.K. Slider inspiration, Animal Crossing composer, and Wii Music director Kazumi Totaka. It's Saturday, so why not listen to some K.K. tunes?

I like when he sings DJ K.K., but not the recording.

My favorite though is K.K. Condor.

That is a really wierd song. I like KK Western. After hearing it so much in ssbb it just grew on me.

I like Go KK Rider.
The boot on your radio is bleh, the live is good, but the Brawl version is the best.

Go KK Rider indeed. Brawl introduced me to it, since i've never played an Animal Crossing title

But watching City Folk vids have enticed me. I simply don't have the time to sink in. Not now, and certainly not in 2009

"Go K.K. Rider!" definitely. And, like Char said, the Brawl version is awesome.

Also, I should clarify that I prefer the version that plays on your stereo in your house better than the live version.

K.K. Slider is the only exception where recordings are better than the live performance.

They are all great, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing else compares to "Two Days Ago".

I actually haven't changed my system's date to exploit anything yet (my sis's b/f did, but only by an hour (semi-at-my-request) to get at the store)...

Faves: Comrade K.K. and K.K. Condor (I have the two K.K.-sung-songs albums on my HDD, thanks to gamemp3s, though it was from a systematic GET of K.K. songs on my 'puppet town' that I ran into the oh-so-nice K.K. Condor). Might have other faves (what I've heard or will come to srsly hear), but these two are definite keepers.

I like the K.K. Slider scene in the Animal Crossing movie. It's nice to see that at times he has an actual crowd listening instead of just one little dude.
