October NPD: People still going crazy over Wii
You know what? To be honest, we kind of wish the NPD numbers weren't so predictable each month. We crave some excitement in our lives. We're not saying we want the Wii and DS to give up their top spots or anything, but some kind of change in the usual rigmarole would be nice. Oh well, maybe next month ...

Wii Music didn't make the top 10. IIRC, Joystiq reports it only sold ~90k. Nice to see a little sanity in Wii customers.

Glad to see Mario Kart still selling strong... It's only going to go up in November due to Xmas sales...

But Wii Music's poor performance led to the console still selling 800k in a month?
The next two months are going to be insane, i'm thinking. 1million + confirmed, possibly?

i'm not surprised about Wii music not selling well. hopefullly we'll see this happening with more Casual games thereby changing the Casual Audience into a Core Audience and seeing TONS more Core games out for the Wii (my favorite console). and YES i have seen the pipeline for 2009.

Xbox is dominating the market, apart from one sports game all it's top sellers are 'CORE' games appealing to the 'CORE' market of 'CORE' gamers... Nintendo could pay attention.
