Wii Warm Up: What's your set-up?

The Wii has its fair share of titles that look and sound stunning, but how do you show them off? Today we're talking gaming set-ups, and want to know about every aspect of yours: TVs, sound systems, projectors, speakers, amplifiers, the lot. We're especially keen to see pictures, so if you want to attract our extreme envy, now is your chance. If anybody comes close to competing with the ($6 million) set-up above, feel free to add your address.

I don't know about that $6 million set up. It looks like a bit too cluttered for my tastes, or a bit too much in general. Also, how are you supposed to get drunk and play videogames in there? I can just see a bunch of wasted people tripping over the $10,000 speakers, and knocking the 4 million DVDs off the shelf.

Just a 19" LCD sitting on my desk. I'm basically the minimum amount of distance away from the sensor bar for it to work. The Wii itself sits on one side, and on the other is a shelf that holds some 18 games (all of my Wii games plus a handful of GC games i still play)
In the back is a large poster of Metroid Prime 3.

26" Sony Bravia HDTV. Nothing special for speakers, but I've got my entire rig hooked up to this one tv: Wii, 360, upconvert DVD, Tivo, PC. It's a pretty effective use of the small space I have.

I have my stuff hooked up to a 65 inch Mitsubishi CRT (component of course) with 6.1 surround sound and a hard wired usb ethernet connection in my basement. Though my setup isn't as elaborate as the one pictured I do have a nice angled microfiber couch. Games like Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii look fantastic. Titles with blurry graphics like Chocobo Mystery Dungeon look like junk though :(
The only thing that really bugs me is that the virtual console titles do not support widescreen (can I at least get. Doesn't nintendo realize that most of the people downloading the virtual console titles are older (who else wants to relive those glory days?), have mo cash and are more likely going to have a widescreen tv?

46inch Toshiba Regaza mounted on the wall. Sony 7.1 surround sound. HD-DVD, DVD, Clock (VCR), Wii, Dish DVR, CD Player, all running through the Sony. Amazing audio and video.

The biggest problem I have is storing the 4 sets of wiimotes and nunchuks. Right now, I have a wicker basket just for game controllers (including PS2 and 360). It wouldn't be so bad except for the nunchuk cable. I tried wrapping it around the nuncuk, but I was concerned that the calbes might kink (which they somewhat did). And I have to put them up because I have a dog that like to chew things.
In the den at the front of our house, the Wi, 360, and PS2 are connected to a Hitchachi 50v500 LCD, a Yahama 5:1 surround sound, and the consoles are stored on shelves under the TV. I have a set of Skandia bookshelves along one wall, one shelf of which is just games.
I've been thinking of replacing the 14-year-old sofa in that sofa with a leather one, but mechevar's microfiber sofa has me thinking . . . you like that sofa?

I have a pretty simple setup, no frills or bells. I use a 45 inch rear projection tv with 5.1 surround sound. SMG look pretty good on just basic A/V cable. I'm going to invest in component to make it look all pretty. Oh yeah, it is an all Sony setup. I use my PS2 for just DVD playback.

Also have a microfiber couch with 2 recliners built in.
Kenwood speaker setup.
4 bookcases full of DVD/Wii/Gamecube games.
Solid wood entertainment console to hold the components and wii remotes etc. (It has 3 drawers that holds remotes, wii remotes, and etc's in it)

Ive got me a 40" 720p Westinghouse, a 850watt 5.1 5 DVD surround sound system with a Wii and my Home Theater PC hooked up to both. Total i have no idea but i got the 5.1 system for $90 at walmart, it was a floor model that was in near flawless condition and retails for over $350 :D

27" non-widescreen CRT TV that claims to be HD (to be fair, it does 1080i and 480p). Of course I'd like to replace it but we can't justify the expenditure, particularly as both our TiVos are SD. (If you like, you can replace the above with 'my wife won't let me' -- but $600 for a TiVo HD with lifetime and $800+ for a decent LCD says she's probably right.)
Wii and (as of yesterday, upconverting) DVD player both sitting on top of the entertainment center, connected by component. Two TiVos connected by composite. A pair of controllers on a Nyko charging stand and the other controllers, the nunchucks and the GameCube controller in a wicker basket. Most-used games (SMG, Wii Fit, Madagascar, Go Diego Go Safari Rescue, etc., and yes, I do have a four-year-old son) in a neat pile on the eye-level shelf in the entertainment center and the rest on a shelf at the other end of the room. Balance Board under the entertainment center.
It's quite compact but just don't look behind -- there's a veritable rabbit warren of cables back there!

3 Shelves.
1.A 23inch Toshiba HD TV up top.
2.A Wii console and TV box in the middle.
3.A PS3 Console on the bottom

Wouldnt mind getting a surround sound system one day, but thats not high priority.

I think my TV is like 32 inches, i sit on my queen size bed just far away enough from the sensor bar to play.. or i'll stand on my bed with my guitar hero remote lol, cant jump though or ill hit my head! My laptop on the other hand is on my desk in the corner hooked up with an extra 19 inch viewsonic crt and 2.1 sound system. I hope to make more money so i can afford to upgrade my room!

I have a 32" flat screen LCD capable of rocking out the 1080i but not the 1080p.
Of course, everything looks jaggy and washed out, even with the progressive scan on via component.
My Xbox 360, on the other hand, churns out gorgeous like there's no tomorrow.

I have a stand with a cable box, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS2 and Wii in there. And a not working too well 360 all the way at the bottom.

I have a 22 inch 4:3 480 progressive scan monitor with 5.1 surround sound.
It's connected to a PS2 and Wii in a large old fashioned TV cabinet that keeps the screen high enough to play games standing up, and also keeps any wires from sticking out or getting unplugged, because a lot of our pets seem to like pulling at cords.

I just ordered a 46" Samsung LN46A650 120Hz 1080p LCD. It's got a red "Touch of Color" bezel that should fit nicely in my red bedroom.
I'm gonna be hooking up the Wii via component, PS3 via HDMI, and X360 will be sharing the VGA port with my Dreamcast until I can get a new HDMI-equipped 360. My PC will also be connect through HDMI, and some time after the holidays I'll be considering buying a new surround sound setup.
The projector will be going on the road with me during the week, and the current surround sound setup may get moved to the living room or den.

I have a $40 19-inch tube television (with mono sound) that's faded blue in three corners. My Wii is hooked up through a series of converters and splitters and it sometimes goes all fuzzy and I have to hit the TV with something.
This is all on my bookshelf about three feet away from my twin sized bed.
I'm cool, right?

(note that these are all hooked up and playable)
On the right side of the TV, again from top to bottom:
Dreamcast
Saturn
Genesis
Xbox 360
(only 360 is hooked up at this time, the rest are fully functional, but only out for display)
Of course the 360 looks the best on this TV, but the Wii gets the most play time.
