EA's exercise game revealed: EA Sports ACTIVE
EA has officially announced their fitness game, titled EA Sports ACTIVE. The game will support, but not require, the Balance Board, and will include two leg straps for the Wiimote and Nunchuk, as well as a resistance band. EA's Peter Moore described the game's focus as a "Western cardiovascular approach," contrasting with the stretching and balance exercises in Wii Fit. Speaking to GameSpot, Moore suggested that ACTIVE will become a "product line," which we already knew because it is "a game published by EA."
Players will also be able to create "playlists" of exercises, a feature conspicuously missing from Wii Fit. In addition, Active will provide real-time feedback on exercise performance, including calories burned and such. The whole thing sounds like a smart companion piece to Wii Fit.

Sounds cool so far.

I noticed that the video said "True 1 to 1 Motion." Does that mean this is going to use the Wii Motion Plus?

That's one of the great things for companies about getting women into gaming. Now they can cash in on women's insecurities with cynical, opportunistic, manipulative, exploitative, tedious, soulless garbage like this, Wii Fit, Jillian Whoever's Fitness Ultimatum and the like. No effort, creativity or design talent required, maximum profits guaranteed, easy money. I'm surprised it took EA this long.

haha what a disaster, it's got nothing on WiiFit

What is with the dumb cluttered backgrounds in the game? Don't they have an artist who can make a clean, good looking environment?

At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeOjfWAsKTw I'm being told that "This video is not available in your country", that being the US of A. Any idea what's up?

For most of us this is why we bought the Wii and Wii fit that being said if other game consoles can make violence look real than give us some exercise games that look real and really push us to loose wieght and get fit the possibillities are endless add a step for for step arobics maybe a dance work out that uses balance we don't want to be couch potato's give us a reason not to.
