DS Daily: Your Final choice?
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time utilizes a specifically designed game engine that allows Wii and DS owners to play online together. Both versions of the title will look, sound, and cost (¥5,040 in Japan) the same, but there are slight benefits to each. Even with its screen-within-a-screen design, the Wii game will still feature a larger viewing area when hooked up to your TV, while the DS edition obviously has the bonus of increased portability. If you are getting Echoes of Time, which platform will you be buying it for, and why?

I'd hate to say it, but I'm probably going to end up owning both, so my siblings can play on the Wii version while I'm on the DS.

i'll be getting the Wii version since i'm more of a home console gamer then i am a hand-held gamer. i do game on the go but if i do game on the go its probably at a friends house or a friend of a friend's house and i'm sure that my friend's friend wouldn't allow me to use his wireless connection. so i'll be going with the Wii version. but i have to say both versions are looking (in terms of gameplay and fun) to be AWESOME!

Ds for me.

Neither!!!
I still can conceive how come they could work on better graphics more suited to the power of the Wii and just show the equivalent model on the DS

I'd get the DS version. Really, playing Aria of Sorrow for some time, the SP Mk.II screen is very easy to see and make out (...with?), and the DSs screens are even larger (though they are more defined, thus allowing smaller text and such), so I don't get why people think DS and PSP are squint-o-vision. Anyway, with the visibility a non-issue, it's because it's a DS game being released on DS and Wii. Really (Wiilly?), it's a simple choice.

I'd have to get the DS version, as I don't own a Wii.
Though I do tend to shy away from DS games that require two copies of the game to play, since that would mean my wife and I would have to buy two copies of the same game, which would basically put DS games in the same price range as PS3 and 360 games, and those 60, 70, 80$ games are precisely why we DON'T own a next gen console.
So....DS. Yeah.

I've got both systems, but I prefer the DS by far, so I'm definitely getting the DS version. Nothing wrong with the Wii, it's just I prefer handheld gaming in general, its less restricting. By restricting I mean I have to play it in the TV room, while with the DS I can play it anywhere =)
