We know that when Wii Fit first released, many of you were eager to snatch up the bundle or, at least tried to. For those of you that did score a bundle, are you keeping up with the exercises? How long did it take you to give up on the routine of using Wii Fit on a regular basis? Or did you merely pick it up for the Balance Board? And, in that case, what game are you waiting for that uses the Balance Board?
I actually feel bad that i hardly use wii fit anymore. I love the idea of the balance board, but there just aren't any good games that use it. I'm hoping for a golf game that will incorporate how you move your feet into the game, and maybe even use motionplus. Right now, though, the only game that slightly interests me is Shaun White Snowboarding
Haha, actually I turned it on Sunday to find I haven't been on in 66 days! I then clicked on the fitness tip which gave me this spiel about how stress isn't good for you. Anyways, after the body test I found I lost 8 pounds since I last turned on my WiiFit! lol...how interesting...
I got mine on my birthday on August 9th and I'm still using it and wicked happy that I went from 223 to 188 pounds since that time. I usually do at least the body test everyday, but I work out on it at least 5 days out of the week.
Congratulations! I've been body testing every day (although I do my workouts elsewhere) and I've gone through a similar drop - 235 to 194. Feels good, eh?
Sounds much like me. I got it at launch but admittedly, I didn't use it all that much at first.
However, I started using it consistently this past July and along with watching my calorie intake, I've dropped from 229lbs down to 182lbs since July 17th. I usually work out at least 5 days a week (weekdays in the morning before I go to work), my regular routine being 50 jackknifes and a 20 minute run (been putting on DVDs of Red Dwarf lately to pass the running time and I'm up to season 5).
I'll be happy when I'm down to about 175lbs, but I doubt I'll give up Wii Fit when I get there. Cut back a bit, perhaps (maybe down to 3 days a week), but I feel healthier when I work out every morning.
I don't work out as it nearly as much as I did at first. Part of that is because a change in my living situation.
However, that doesn't mean wii fit isnt working still. The greatest part about it is that now I know that it's always there waiting for me.
I have definitely kept track of my weight and food intake even if I haven't been doing the exercise as much. Having Wiifit makes me really think more about my lifestyle.
I've had mine since summer but mostly ignored it until about a week ago. I've been using it for about 30-45 minutes each night for the last week and I hope to continue that.
I had a Wii Fit hiccup after a move to a new apartment snd a new schedule, but that happens with any workout routine. I've been picking it back up and am so glad that it's there! I feel better already. It's my guess that people will have similar use habits with Wii Fit that a typical gym membership will have.
Funny, after i turned mine on again I had lost weight since I last turned it on, also haha. Maybe their fitness tips and mental training make the lasting impression
My wife and I picked one up and used the hell out of it for about a month. She hasn't used it as regularly recently, and I haven't used it at all. I've been meaning to start back up with it lately. We'll see if I actually do it ;)
after a long search, I had finally picked up WiiFit a few months ago (60something days?). I've been mostly good with doing it every other day. I'm not so much trying to lose weight as much as "toning my body" as the work out avatars love to say. My fiancee, who was most excited for the WiiFit was doing it daily for a while but has recently stopped keeping up.
I actually had a good month of daily routine going. I only missed it a few times but then school started up again and I've only played a couple times a month. I'd like to get back into some type of routine though, its a lot of fun and actually a decent work out.
Used it for about a month or so, then let my brother borrow it for a while. Just got it back as I'm waiting for Skate-It to come out! That, and Shaun White snowboarding.
I do all the exercises without the balance board, what's the point anyway aside from measuring weight and balance?
Actually, kind've funny, I've had wii fit but I only seem to use it as a scale every few months. I weighed around 190 in May, and weigh 170 now. I eat right, exercise regularly and feel pretty damn healthy though.
I've had it since launch and only haven't used it for 2 weeks I was out of town on July and for 3 weeks when I was recovering from an injury in september.
I use Wii Fit for 10-50 minutes a day, 4 days each week. The time depends on if I'm doing all my workout on Wii Fit or if I'm doing 10-30 minutes on Helix and 5-10 on other various exercises. Mostly it's Boxing, Stepping and some Yoga regularly and all the other exercises every now and then.
Love it - my home personal trainer. To those that give up I think they need to develop a wii discipline and motivation game!! Seriously people nothing will help if you don't have it in you to turn the bloody thing on! Congrats to everyone serious about changing for the better and applying themselves, that's all it takes!

still waiting on a good game for it. Hoping Shaun White is better than the previews say. Wouldn't mind a 1080 game either. HEAR ME NINTENDO!

I went back yesterday after a 4 month break (I had been playing WoW those months). I gained 4 pounds in that time so it's time to work out again :-/

I still use it a few times a week. I try to use it everyday, but with a 15 month old that doesn't always happen.

I need to lose weight, and I'm too cheap for a gym membership or real exercise equipment, so I use Wii fit pretty frequently.
Stalin @ Nov 17th 2008 8:37PM
i'm already very healthy and fit, so i'd be wasting my money

Unfortunately, no. I sold my Wii Fit, so, unsurprisingly, no weight loss to report =\
But it was sitting around, not being used, and now a family member who couldn't find one has it. So, I guess it worked out.
