Free Radical teases Wii gamers some more
Early last month, Free Radical put a poll up on their site asking folks which platform they would want to see TimeSplitters 4 on. Wii actually ended up winning the poll and now Free Radical has put up something new on their site.
Now, they've got a new poll up on their site, focusing on the Wii. While we're all for gathering information (hey, it's what we do), we have on simple request: just get to work on TimeSplitters4 already! Please? We'll, uh, draw you a picture of a unicorn or something.

Yay! They listened.
I would be worried due to the sucky blandness of Haze, but TimeSplitters is TimeSplitters, after all
One more feather in Wii's cap

Now my hopes can be even more Exagerate. Like Timesplitters 4 on Wii with the Pierce Brosnan Bond as a playable character!

I just hope they don't pull a Metroid Prime 3 and:
- Only include three sensitivity settings, two of which aren't sensitive enough, and one which has absolutely no deadzone.
- Include a really shitty lock-on system (MP1's lock-on was good).
- Have the game randomly decide to make you stop while you're in the middle of trying to turn.
- Make looking up/down absurdly slow, even on the zero-deadzone high sensitivity setting.
- Make the player jump whenever you flick the controller (Scratch that - whenever the game *thinks* you flicked the controller)
But then, it could be worse. They could pull a FarCry...

I can't say I'm exited about another Timesplitters (I've played it before and found it to be nothing more than a rehash of Goldeneye/Perfect Dark 1, both of which I've already gotten tired of long ago) *BUT*, given the current sorry state of Wii FPSes (and hell, *real* videogames in general on the Wii) I'll take what I can get.

well the fps market for wii isnt bleak anymore since today. COD WAW is setting the bar really high(and the conduit will come before TS4) .And Timespliiters was always a decent and overall fun game.AND by all means, they are 100% supportive of ONLINE multiplayer, alone the most important feature of a true FPS.
tell me what shooter on next gen did NOT have online features in the last 3 years?Only 2 games.RED steel and Corruption(ew). All i can say, Why would you expect to take the features for one of the worse shooters of the wii instead of the latest better games for it that had more success?radical is not a mediocre studio like ubisoft to do that.

I *hate* military-FPSes (such as Call of Duty), so that counts as a big "nothing" for me. I've played a little bit of Timesplitters before and found it reasonably solid, but very bland (but again, right now I'd be happy with a Wii timesplitters anyway). Conduit sounds good, but IMO it's the *only* Wii FPS that looks like it doesn't have at least one big glaring problem. And I *hate* multiplayer FPSes because they're so ridiculously, mind-numbingly repetitive. I can't play them for more than about five minutes without getting absolutely bored out of my mind.

@ Abscissa
a lock on system would be nice if (IMO) they allow parts of an enemies body to be targeted. then again i found it pretty easy to AIM in MP3:C. my only complaint is when the targeting reticule random fell to the bottom of the screen and i had to give the Wiimote a little waggle to get it back in position. also if they pull a farcry i'll pull a RAMBO on their headquarters.

Why are you guys having so many problems with MP3? Are you thrashing the remote around like a bunch of apes with exaggerated fasciculation? Maybe you guys got a bootleg copy or something. I've never had a problem with cursor lock, random jumping, random stopping, and I powered through the game just fine. Take it easy with the remote next time.
Abscissa @ Nov 11th 2008 4:39PM
I never once had any problem with aiming or turning in Red Steel or Call of Duty 3 (I know I said I don't like military-FPSes, but I rented it just to see what all the fuss over COD3 was all about). But I frequently did in Metroid Prime 3. So take that as you will.
KaBob799 @ Nov 11th 2008 1:01PM
I have to say I've never had any problems controlling Prime 3 o.0
manyquestions @ Nov 11th 2008 3:10PM
Nor have I. I think this is getting kind of ridiculous.
