Call of Duty: Footage of War

Call of Duty: World at War ships in North America tomorrow, but if you want an early peek (and have the kind of job where you can get away with watching videos at work all day long), here's the first thirty minutes, starting with the Makin Island raid (and continuing after the break).
Be warned: as this is a Call of Duty game, and hence Just Like The Real Thing, it's full of naughty words from the beginning, not to mention the odd stomach-churning sight. It looks great, though, and is full of the spectacular set-pieces that we love the series for. With this, The Conduit, and the amazingly-not-terrible Quantam of Solace, shooter fans have a potentially exciting few months ahead.

Once again. I really have no idea how anyone can even consider Quantum Solace even remotely a good game. But, I made my arguments in the previous Bond posting.
It just saddens me. Bond could have been a great game.

I agree with canaroo! I rented the new Bond game this weekend and was completely disappointed with it. Terrible frame rates at times and broken controls all around...

oh great. CoD is a ps2 port with tacked on controls. Not even renting it.

There is no PS2 sku. Treyarch said current-gen only.

Actually there is a PS2 version of the game. It's supposed to be a completely different game (like CoD 2 and CoD 2: Big Red One). So they probably did use their PS2 models for the Wii game.

Well, i came to like Quantum of Solace, but it did not lived to the "Next sequel of GoldenEye" promise they made.
Really, Nintendo should suck the balls of Rare and ask em for a rehash of the game for Virtual Console or WiiWare with WiiMote controls. same goes for Perfect Dark

I went to Best Buy for this game on my break hoping someone would have jumped the gun. I'm actually excited for a generic shooter which shows how bad Nintendo is lacking in something great. However when I say something great I don't necessarily mean it has to be a billion copy seller but a game where massive effort and a different take is brought to the table. Whatever, I won't ramble, I just need to play something and be given reason to wipe the dust off my Wii

whenever someone makes a dust joke (on any console) i wonder if they really think if they played the console more, dust would magically not settle on their console.

hhmm, I don't remember any cursing in COD3 or 2? Maybe I'm just don't remember correctly. Kind of a bummer, my wife doesn't like cursing so I will have to play when she goes to bed.

actually she doesn't like that either but if she is reading or something she doesn't watch it. the only way not to hear something is to turn of the sound, which is a sucky thing way to play.

I have a japanese wii and want to import this game. I have homebrew channel and gecko os but no custom ios. Do you think the American (from playasia.com) version will load with gecko??
Any help much apreciated.
