Wii Warm Up: Vs. Capcom

For a long time, we mostly saw the Tatsunoko Productions characters in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom as a necessity: there because Vs. fighting games needed to be vs. somebody. Basically, they were there to give the Capcom characters some new people to fight, and it didn't really matter who.

But as we've followed the game, we've started to pay attention to the Tatsunoko characters and realize that they seem like they're going to be fun to play. They look cool and/or hilarious, and all those superheroes seem perfectly suited for high-speed aerial combat.

How about you? Were you already a fan of any Tatsunoko properties? Have you even noticed any of the Tatsunoko characters?

I think I'd rather see Dead U.S. Presidents vs Capcom.

Abraham Lincoln and George Washington could have some crazy special moves...but _damn_, what about William Henry Harrison?! And Taft?!?!

(seriously, I know nothing of Tatsunoko, and I think I'd be more excited about the game if I'd even _heard_ of it...)

It's a company that made old anime; anyone who was a kid during the early 90s or 80s in the US would know the characters.

I'd play as the other characters in just about ANY vs. game. I mean for the most part I don't really cae for like 90% of SNK's characters, and personally I'd be more than just a little bit happy if they somehow revived the _Vs. Marvel license.

That been said, I think I'd be all over playing with the uh birdsuit characters. ( I think the localization back in the day called the show Battle of the Planets or some such, though I could be mistaken on the title of that particular series.

Nobody really used the SNK characters in CvS2 anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I am familiar with most of the people from Tatsunoko side. Mainly Gatchaman and Cashern from living in Japan. But when I moved to America I did remember watching alot of G-Force, but not when they changed it to Battle of the Planets. The other characters look familiar, but don't think I watched their shows.

watched Battle of the planets (gatchaman) in the late 70s (when it first showed up) dubbed by sandy frank.

They went on to steal lotsa B-movies and anime from japan to sell to western countries after they were cut to hell. Eagle riders and G-force sucked and were later seasons of gatchaman I hate they even exist.

After that though as an adult I found all the other animes they made and DAMN they make high quality 70s and 80s anime.

I was upset when the button layout in marvel vs capcom2 was essentualy changed to a 4 plus 2 layout.. 3 punches and 3 kicks or nuthin man

SF IV or Tatsunoko vs Capcom Idunno which is making me drool more.. I have to find the nearest asian variety store to have either of them since arcades are dead these days..

I'm a big Capcom Fan (i love Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Breath of Fire)

As i heard that there will be a Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom....i thought "OMGWTF"

My Mind was Spinning with the Vison of an Epic Battle from Casshern Vs. Ryu

Tatsunoko is a Name in the Anime World, Karas is one of the High Quality Visuals you can get for your DVD Player.

And the Story about Casshern (the aniem of the 70's)
and new Story interpretation of Casshern Sins (2008),
is one of the dramatics and sadest world destruction themes i knew.

Hail to the Capcom and welcome in the Battle Tatsunoko.

No doubt Ryu,Ken and friends are cool as hell (we still need Ibuki from SF III because female ninjas/kunoichis rocks...)

But Casshern is a true Superhero (goood, than evil...than good or twisted again) he has a kickass combat suit, brutal finishing moves, and if he goes berserk he kills everything that moves....

I watched 'Battle of the Planets' as a kid, and even had a couple of G-Force toys... I'm unfamiliar with the rest of the Tatsunoko cast, but I'm intrigued to see what the game is like...

I was already a fan of a few of Tatsunoko's anime franchises. Specifically Casshern (in America as Casshaun) and Speed Racer. I'm pissed Speed, or his brother Racer X, isn't in this, but hopefully they add one of them for the home version like Dan, Fei Long and Sakura for home SFIV's.

Many tatsunoko series were broadcasted in latin america back in the day of He man, so they are pretty well known.I think US only got 1 or 2 series when the anime wasnt all that accepted there.

Well in the VS. Capcom series, there are many possibilities.

-DC VS. Capcom
-Cereal Box Characters VS. Capcom (come on, that'd be cool)
-Sonic's throwaway friends VS. Capcom (gotta kill them off somehow and don't worry, I love Sonic games to death, I just think there are too many friends.)
-Soul Calibur VS. Capcom
-Marvel VS. Capcom (OH WAIT)
-Square Enix VS. Capcom (not bad, actually)
-Peter Frampton VS. Capcom (haha sorry)
-Other Dead Rockstars VS. Capcom
-Chuck Norris VS. Capcom (I couldn't resist.)
-ECW Vs. Capcom

I dunno now I'm just trying to be funny. The point here is I'd rather fight against a series I actually know about, this way it'd be a cooler crossover to me. But the game is looking like a lot of fun though. And ultimately I will buy it.

I don't think it really matters because the Capcom characters are so broken in this game, that it doesn't matter who they're versing. In every VS game, it's typically one company's characters that generally overpower the others. In TvC it's Capcom, in MvC2 it's Marvel (hell the game is even just called Marvel by most of it's followers), and in CvS2 it's capcom. I could mention SvC Chaos, but I'm gonna pretend that game doesn't exist.

I recognize a lot of characters, Tekkaman (OMG SPACE LANCE!), Casshern and Friender, and I even recognize Hakushin Daimao (aka, Bob in the Bottle)...

I'm just hoping my favorite Tatsunoko production will appear as a hidden character, The Samurai Pizza Cats.
