Mushroom Men: The Spore Wait

Unfortunately, we can no longer claim that Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars is one of the most promising games of this fall -- not because we've changed our minds about the game or anything, but because it's no longer a game of this fall. Gamecock announced that both the DS and Wii Mushroom Men games have been delayed to December 2nd. The Spore Wars was originally planned for this month, following an October release of the DS Rise of the Fungi.

Provided that Mushroom Men actually comes out this holiday season, it could do well as the only major platformer being released on the Wii (that doesn't star a werehog). Or we could be wrong and it could be swallowed by the mass of holiday releases in general! The point is, one of those processes will begin in December.

It's not winter until 21 December, so it's still technically an autumn game.

A delay? What a big surprise. Even though I'm not excited for this game one bit, I was probably going to buy it if it takes at least more than 20 hours to complete and gurantees I die twice in the process. NOA is lacking titles, I'm just not happy being a Nintendo fan anymore, I need something to spark interest. I'll just import titles I'm upset have not come over here, #1 Fatal Frame #2 Day of Disaster.

Ugh. I've been waiting for this game more than any other this fall for a while now.

...but December 2? Just push it back to late January/early February. There's a reason why most big name games don't come out in December – everyone is done with their Christmas shopping already!
