Rumor: Rock Band 2 pushed back to January?

In poking around the net, other retailer sites such as Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart list the game as releasing around the 16th and 17th of next month. Is this merely a glitch in the official site for the game, or should we expect to get our rock on in 2009?

I don't know about Harmonix's past, but the official site is rarely useful in Nintendo's case

I wont mind a delay, as long as they're working on making it compatible with the Guitar Hero World Tour instruments.

Maybe this means they are taking some extra time to get compatibility with the GHWT drums. If so I will be picking this up. If not then, meh.

if the GHWT drums are compatible, then the delay is fine, if not, they lost my 50 bucks

I'd go with Harmonix's actual announcement of a December release.
According to Sean from HMX, rockbandstore.com is just another retailer and they don't know the exact release date any more than GameStop or Wal-mart.

Amazon has the game for Dec. 16 and the Band Kit for Jan. 6

are you sure this doesn't mean you can't order it online until jan. 5th? i think it could very well end up in stores in december.
