Wii Fanboy Review: Baddest of the Bands

Gallery: Strong Bad Episode 3
This third episode starts with Strong Bad heading into his room to spend some quality time with Senor Fun Machine (AKA his Videlectrix console). In booting up Limozeen's Hot Babelian Odyssey (the first of many, many awesome Limozeen references), sparks fly from the console and Strong Bad realizes he's got to get the thing fixed. The only person in town who can do it? Bubs.

I won't go any further into the story, but if you've played the first two episodes, then you know the score. Items aren't what they appear (using Jalapeno cheddar cheese spray for graffiti? Only in the Homestar Runner universe) and it's basically one big goofy and comical time. Like the previous two episodes. What set it over the top for me, personally, is all of the Limozeen references. And Strong Bad's awesome album art he drew when he was 8 years old. And Strong Sad as a pretentious rock journalist. It all came together to be what I think is the most appealing episode in the series to date.
By now, you should know this is a point-and-click adventure game. Either you love the Homestar Runner universe enough to overlook your distaste for that genre of games, or you don't find any problems with the point-and-click style. If you actually invest the time and get into Strong Bad's adventures, you'll find yourself laughing at the antics of him and those around him, wondering where the time went when you finish an episode and crave more. This is another great episode from Telltale Games, one which solidifies this series as "must-have" for myself. Catch up with Strong Bad and the gang if you haven't played any of the episodes until now. You won't be disappointed.
Final score: 9/10

Don't have internet access for my Wii at home. Still waiting for a WAD upload from some caring individual to get the ball rolling.
Cheers to all the Wii Gamers!

I've just only recently got into the whole Strong Bad thing since the last two WiiWare games... I must say, I like it a whole heck of a lot more than Aqua Teen Hunger Force! This should be bigger than what it is. Just my two cents.

Well, it WAS bigger than what it is now... but then the site slowed down on the updating, and the official forum went bye-bye.
And then people started treating it like a fad.
So it definitely went down in popularity, despite the quality it gives - even to this day.
For my gf and I, we watch HR almost daily... it's like our Saturday Morning cartoons for us... except, daily.

Aren't WADs just roms? Or am I'm mistaking you comment?

Yes they are, and I suggest q00ber pay a friend to download episode 3 before installing the WAD on his own Wii to support the developers.
Regardless, I can't wait to download this one! I'm glad it got a great review (which I didn't read because I want all of the surprises).

Spoilers Ahead
I actually ended up liking the writing of Episode 2 more. I dunno, maybe it was because I was learning about the Civil War during History at the time, but anyway, I like the gameplay of this one better. I liked screwing with the bands, and rhyming foods for Homestar. I'm personally excited for Dangeresque 3, "Dangeresque Too?" was one of my favorite sketches on the site.
