Rumor: Sega to publish The Conduit

Even though we find it strange that High Voltage is reluctant to reveal The Conduit's publisher, one thing is certain: we can't stop talking about it. Maybe this was High Voltage's cunning plan all along: refuse to reveal some incredibly minor, trivial detail about your eagerly anticipated game, and drive bloggers crazy with curiosity. If so, it totally worked with us.
Now, new evidence in this long-running saga suggests Sega will publish the game. Specifically, evidence that ... no longer exists. NeoGAFfers claim to have seen an empty folder named "The Conduit" on Sega of America's press site, only the folder has now been removed. Adding further credibility to the NeoGAF sighting is Nintendo Everything, which screencapped the site before the file was taken down. As usual, no official confirmation means this is classed as rumor for now, but Sega publishing the game seems plausible.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Are they gonna add a talking animal named chip?

Hmmmm... If this is true, Sega better market the hell out of this game. They didnt have to spend a dime on development so all of it should go to marketing; at least it should, and besides, the conduit needs to be spread to the masses. Its the LEAST it deserves!

It's got the Sega stamp of approval so this game must be some sort of good. I'm still not buying, but with Sega publishing it does alleviate the feeling that this might be trash.
Some silly Sega fan service, as shallow as it sounds, could sway me. Howard and Jean skins from Confidential Mission, or something. But that seems unlikely.

They should have blue spiky grenades that stick to different surfaces called "Hedgehogs"
MowDownJoe @ Oct 28th 2008 9:12PM
That'll be in the sequel.

Sega seal of ap..
app...
holy hell, are you joking? Is there anyone that can actually say "Sega seal of approval" without breaking out in laughter?

This proves it, there is no God. Sega hasn't released anything good lately, the best game being Ghost Recon which was mediocre.
I was so looking forward to this game, but now I will at least wait for several reviews before I decide.

The Wii is not only a Renaissance for Nintendo, but also for Sega and The Conduit is just one of many more greater quality games Sega may have to offer.

SEGA making the plastic cases and shipping them out has nothing to do with the game. Some people here are so retarded.
Go play Wii Music.

The Conduit sequel will include at least 12 "goofy, fun, loveable" side kick characters you will be able to play with. And Conduit Racing will be due out next year.

Sega seems to be behind 80% of the worth owning games in the Wiis 2009 line up already so I wouldn't be that shocked if Sega was the publisher.
Feba, you are clearly out of touch with this gen, Sega have a fantasic line up on all consoles, they are trumping Nintendo on their own console right now. Yakuza 3 stole the show at TGS and they are just releasing an SRPG called Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3 that everyone is gushing over.
