I already picked up GHWT yesterday, and played for 6 hours straight!

Sounds like Rock Band 2 may be the right way to go this round. I'm not trying to start a war, but check out IGN's review of the 360 version. Not pretty.

IGN's review of the Wii version did better, getting an 8.8.
WalkingCarpet @ Oct 27th 2008 9:35AM
Guitar Hero is pretty awesome, not gonna lie. And there's EarthWorm Jim!!!
fco. @ Oct 27th 2008 9:43AM
I'll wait untill Rock Band's out before deciding for either of them.
On the VC side of things, I'd love to play Earthworm Jim on my Wii, but it's though to say yes when I'm already run out of space, and Good Old Games is offering the PC version of both Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 for just $6.

GHWT will keep me occupied for quite a while. If not for that I might've taken a look at FIFA but now there's really nothing on my radar until The Conduit or maybe CoD:World at War, pending reviews.
If anyone had cymbal sensitivity issues try replacing your Wiimote batteries. That seemed to do the trick for me.
THRILLHO @ Oct 27th 2008 9:53AM
GHWT is awesome, if you have a widescreen HDTV. The lyrics are even harder to read on an older TV w/o widescreen. looks like the same issue that happened with dead rising. I'm not buying a new tv just to play this game, so I'm pretty mad about that.
Aaron @ Oct 27th 2008 11:45AM
Quit your whining and go buy a proper gaming TV.
THRILLHO @ Oct 27th 2008 1:53PM
buy it for me then, i just dropped 200 on a game with plastic drums
Kinda.Odd @ Oct 28th 2008 12:40AM

I've been waiting a long, long time for Dora the Explorer. Hell yes. Good thing I placed my preorder from GameStop so far in advance!
Dopple Boppler @ Oct 27th 2008 10:07AM
Protip: If you're playing Guitar Hero World Tour for an extended period of time (in my case, 12 hours), switch off instruments with your friends every once in a while; my voice is completely gone from all that singing, not to mention my right thumb is still numb from the guitar playing.
LeChuck @ Oct 27th 2008 10:34AM
All Star Cheer Squad, you better bring it!
Calvin @ Oct 27th 2008 10:44AM
My friends and I went and got GH:WT at midnight and proceeded to play all night. Oh, and I agree with Doople Boppler, switch out. My wrists hurt from drumming for 7 straight hours.
Scotty @ Oct 27th 2008 10:55AM
I get mine Wednesday...can. not. wait.
dicknjane @ Oct 27th 2008 11:57AM
I'm gonna order all 5 episodes of SBCG4AP, but for the PC. Homestar Runner = best website of all time.
tmntman @ Oct 27th 2008 12:08PM
I was going to pick up GHWT at the midnight release at Best Buy. But they only had enough for the preorders if they were even able to cover them. Of course that's for the best as Toys R Us sent me a 20% coupon of any single item Saturday. So now I just have to wait for them to get the game in stock.
ZombiePikmin @ Oct 27th 2008 12:54PM
My grandma got home from the hospital, but im still staying there. I may have to wait two weeks for Strong Bad and Earthworm Jim. And i am gonna wait till Christmas for Gh:Wt
tmntman @ Oct 27th 2008 5:20PM
Keep checking. I went back to Toys R Us after being told that they should be receiving more today. Sure enough, they had gotten a large shipment in.
Sisyphus @ Oct 27th 2008 1:30PM
Earthworm Jim is the only one I'll seriously consider from this list of... stuff.
Gaph2000 @ Oct 27th 2008 4:08PM
I preordered GHWT, was 3rd on the list. They got 2. IT really pissed me off, especially when I went to the Future Shop next door, and they had A pile of PS3 versions, A pile of 360 versions, I looked and saw the 3rd pile... And realized it was another pile for 360 versions.
Anyone know about other shipments? (PLEASE say before this weekend) Also, does playing full band require 4 remotes? Because I heard that the Wii microphone isn't USB
Moleculo @ Oct 27th 2008 4:46PM
The mic is USB, but you can't play vocals unless there's a free Wiimote for the vocalist to navigate menus and activate star power, etc. If you heard you could play as a full band with three Wiimotes, pulling one out of an instrument to set up the vocals and then putting it back in, that is FALSE. Full band = four Wiimotes.
kervin @ Oct 27th 2008 6:00PM
Yay i got world tour its awesome and already have downloaded 7 songs for dlc on the game already and having so much fun with it.
