Rune Factory 2 manufactures U.S. release date
Marvelous has confirmed it will release Rune Factory 2 into the crowded, choppy waters of the Christmas games market, announcing a November 18th release date for the fantasy-themed farm-me-do.
As that's still four weeks away, we advise passing time by reading up on our hands-on experience with the title, planning crop strategies, and preordering at either Gamestop or Amazon for your very own plush squirrel. Oh yes, and saving money. We're not kidding. Have you seen the DS line-up for November 18th? Yowza.

Omg! I can't freaken wait!
I'm going to probably throw down everything I'm playing (all the other sweet releases on other consoles/handhelds) and probably just play this.
The other DS titles that come out during that time don't interest me as much. Moon does a bit though.

I'm so excited for this that I am actually pre-ording for the first time- and it's not even for the squirrel cause it actually looks kind of ugly, no?
November is going to be such a ROCKING release month for the DS!!!

I bought Rune Factory off of some kid on CraigsList for 5$, he just played it for an hour and hated it. But me, I fell in love. I'm ridiculously excited for Rune Factory 2, and yeah, it will probably occupy me for the next 6 months and leave all my other awesome games neglected. I'm sorry, Castlevania.

Out of curiousity, when did you feel sucked in?
I just couldn't get into this one. I think it may be that for me, HM is really best/most enjoyable on a console.
Think I just kinda gave up when I was making the rounds of the town, got a few tools, tried to get familiar with where everything was, and then just meh.
Magical Melody sucked me in like craaaaaaaazy, and I just haven't been able to catch the magic again. I just started ToT, so hopefully that'll get the job done.

I think I got sucked in once I started hitting the first dungeon pretty hard. It was frustrating, at first, but in a good way. I actually don't like many dungeon crawlers because they can be too easy, but the RP/HP system and the arduous process of earning money really made getting to and beating the boss a lot more of a challenge than just running around and smacking things. I'd actually love to see a more traditional RPG take some of the aspects of the Rune Factory system and try to make a strategic, resource management based hack-n-slash.
But I also like the farming, though I've played Rune Factory so much on my DS that I think my hands are going to snap in half, and I really would prefer to be holding an ergonomic controller than a bit of square plastic, to be honest.

Mana's yandere. And when Kyle inevitably cheats on her, he'll ultimately wind up with a hatchet in his back.

Liked the first one, will certainly pick this one up.

I'm still playing the first one (and I got it when it first came out!) so I probably won't be getting this one.. However, I might pick it up later when I do finish the first game. :) Rune Factory is a great twist on the series.

Does the subtitle of this game a pun or something?
Seems to me like they are trying to make on harvest moon
