Zero Punctuation force chokes The Force Unleashed

It's been a while since master of misanthropy Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw was featured on these pages, but now he's back, in full sneering mode, with a scathing review of the colossally popular Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Like many of us, Yahtzee hoped the Wii's motion-sensing capabilities would open the door to a whole new galaxy of light saber swish-a-thons that worked, only to be disappointed.
His ire is eventually directed towards the "temperamental" Wii Remote, which he describes as "like playing any other console but with all the buttons randomly reassigned every couple of seconds." Ouch. Bound past the jump for the full, NSFW review.

I would imagine Yahtzee being one of the more vehement Wii haters, considering he is the jaded prick incarnate
That and the fact that he's the kinda person who knocks on Nintendo franchises for being franchises, so he'd be ill disposed to them either way. His Brawl review was uncalled for (the idea that you can't do a review wrong was shattered in that instance, as he just made stuff up)
This was just more of a wii hater circle jerk than a review of the game, and i would expect no less.

Well yes, but he should at least have some sort of standards. i.e., he should bash the game in question for flaws it actually has, not make shit up (Brawl) or just use it as a springboard to bash the console (here)

He said in one of his earlier videos something along the lines of "apparently people don't like it when I talk about all the good stuff in a game so even if do like it overall my reviews are going to tear apart each and every one of the games flaws."

Unfortunately Wiifanboy isn't the place to say anything positive about SW:TFU. They're proudly dismissive of the game. They LOVE to post anything bad about it. We're wasting our time here.
As for the "practice" you mention about the Wii controls: I'd add it only takes maybe 20-30 minutes of "practice" to really get into them & they work surprisingly well. The camera is about the biggest fault with the game.

Yeesh, there's a tad of butthurt goin' on here. It's his job to bash things (save for Portal), and he's entertaining in doing so. I do like his call-out to the MotionPlus; y'think LucasArts will re-release it once the perip. is... unleashed?

I was not entertained by that at all. Bashing on a "Gauntlet" style game is as easy as beating "Gauntlet." I don't think I'll ever watch another Zero Punctuation video, just because of how bored I got watching this one.

funny he rips games because its funny. So harden up nobody watches
his stuff because they care what the bloke thinks its because he's

Garst, I am almost positive nobody cares that you'll never watch again. It's not like you're the new Jesus or somesuch, so you really don't matter that much. No offense, but you're just like those people who go to review shows (like X-play) and say, "Oh well I give this game a 3/5 it sux ballz lol." Nobody gives a fuck.
