Director talks up Muramasa: Demon Blade
When it was announced that Oboro Muramasa Youtouden was headed to North America (under the name Muramasa: Demon Blade), we got all kinds of excited. Not only does the game have a wonderful style all its own, it also looks like a great 2D experience in a world crowded with 3D games. During a recent interview with 1UP, the game's director Jyouji Kamitani answered questions dealing with the origins of the game, the motion controls players can expect and the playable build that will be available during the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

From TFA:
1UP: In what ways does the game use the Wii's motion controls?
GK: We talked about it regarding the controls and concluded that keeping the classic controls for side-scrollers will best fit this game. That's why this game will be using the Classic Controller. Currently, we do not have plans to use the motion sensor, but we are in talks about adding some feature enabling it.
So it means I can throw away my Gamecube controller? I don't want to buy one of these p-o-s classic controllers just to play this. Unfortunately the GC pad backwards compatibility doesn't seem to be very popular with designers lately.
