North America gets Club Nintendo!
You read that correctly, folks! Those of us in North America are finally getting Club Nintendo, as it's been revealed during the fall press conference that Nintendo will be bringing the service to us. "We know that there have been lots of people in the US that have been lusting after these products for a long time," said Cammie.Debuting at the end of this year, the service will allow customers to gather points and trade them in for Nintendo goodies. Let's just hope we get sweet stuff, like the Game & Watch collection and not just a bunch of junk.

Finally - we too can join the club!
I'm gonna be cartwheeling in piles of points-cards and high-quality plushies for sure!
Sonic_13 @ Oct 2nd 2008 1:30PM
I can't wait. I wonder how many points my 51 registered games will earn me...
I hope we get some of the special stuff like the golden Link statue and Tingle's Balloon Fight.

Then the clouds opened up and a heavenly choir began to sing. And a booming voice decreed, "Let there be awesome!"
And then we responded, "Well it's about goddamned time."

Ooh if they include already registered stuff (I'm sure they will, people would hate them if they didn't) then I'm gonna have a nice amount of points =]
Geoff @ Oct 2nd 2008 2:44PM
Yeah, my several years'-worth of registered systems and games for which I've received NOTHING had better transfer into this brave new world.

For those Australians here is information from wiki:
Australia
Club Nintendo in Australia was launched in April 2008 to coincide with the release of Mario Kart Wii. While Nintendo Australia has confirmed that the Australian Club Nintendo reward catalogue will be unique from Club Nintendo Europe and Club Nintendo Japan, as of September 2008, only game registration is available. Rose Lappin, managing director of Nintendo Australia, claims in an interview with The Age that the program is still in the process of being set up.[10]
All games either distributed or published by Nintendo Australia after Mario Kart Wii will contain a card that allows buyers to register their games for Club Nintendo points.

I Hope that we get the Chance to get those SNES controllers. Although I don't know why they wouldn't make them Wireless and then sell them as accessories. They would make soo much money. Seriously
