I don't think a screenshot could do this graphic style justice.
Much like how most screenshots of Phantom Hourglass look terrible, but in game, it actually looks very good.

Huh? The link's working fine for me. And I say this: HUZZAH! THIS IS FREAKING SICK! Oh yeah, I'm gonna have to buy this issue as well. It looks like all is not lost, GTA on the DS will be great. *fingers crossed* Now for some gameplay videos!

I must say that for a DS game, it does look good.

Looks like good old fashioned GTA going on here! And I approve! This is exactly the kind of gameplay you'd expect from a DS title and it fits perfectly. The isometric view and cellshading takes us just that little step up from the top-down view of the original series, and it looks good to me!
As for graphics, remember that this is a magazine scan, and plenty of games look so much better in action, and since GTA is a title relying heavily on action, I'm not surprised the screens may look a little empty. Just keep in mind you'll be blasting away all these cars, causing massive explosions and driving off at high speed mowing down passers-by as you escape the cops. If the screens were any more crowded you'd just see blurs and fireballs all the time.

I just hope the camera always follows behind the cars to keep it so that driving you're always going up. I don't like games where you go whichever way the car faces and the camera just follows along in that direction, they don't feel right to me.
