Tatsunoko vs. Capcom crossing over to Wii
A port of Capcom's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes to the Wii seemed eminently likely, given that the arcade game uses some kind of "Wii-compatible" hardware. Capcom has made it official, revealing the Wii release, scheduled for December, in the latest Famitsu.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is the latest in the Vs. fighting series, adding new 3D graphics and a new set of characters to the high-speed 2D fighting. This time, Capcom characters, including the requisite World Warriors, Rock Volnutt from Mega Man Legends, the PTX-40A from Lost Planet, and others, face off against characters from Tatsunoko Production's stable of anime characters, including Casshan/Casshern and Gatchaman's Ken. Of course, the Wii version also features some goofy minigames involving things like math problems and a shooting gallery, but it's hard to object to extras.
While the licensing challenges involved with the Tatsunoko characters, and the difficulty in selling a game full of unknowns, may keep this game out of the US, Capcom may decide what a boon a Wii-exclusive fighting game may be. We couldn't be more excited in any case. Somehow, this will be made to work on our system. We look forward to the inevitable Tatsunoko vs. Capcom-branded Hori joystick!

Didn't Capcom recently tell IGN that they were going to bring a new Marvel Vs Capcom game out sometime soon?
Swapping out the Tatsunoko characters for Marvel characters would make a whole lot of sense for a western release.
samfish @ Sep 17th 2008 10:35AM
No, that was someone from Marvel at this year's ComicCon who said that MvC3 might be coming.
To which Capcom seemed to genuinely reply (on their forums), "WTF are you talking about?"
Matthew @ Sep 17th 2008 11:10AM
If I recall correctly there was a licensing issue with Marvel and that's why Capcom vs Marvel 3 never came out.

I wish it was easier to play import Wii games. That said, I'm praying this is released on PS3 so I can easily import it.

These is all you need to play imports on a unmodified Wii
1.- Twilight Princess
2.- SD Card
3.- Twilight Hack
4.- Homebrew Channel
5.- GeckoOS Loader for imports http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GeckoOS
And that's it no that complicated, ya?

YAY! This is now officially a DAY 1 import!

I'm going to wait two or three months before I import just in case they release a US/PAL version. This looks so good - though, that background looks awfully familiar.
Hopefully this will lead onto the flood of Arcade ports I've constantly been anticipating on this system.

I want this game, I hope it reaches ours shores.

As said before, there aren't that many North American Anime Licensing companies
like as not that VIZ Media owns all or most of those rights, since they're gobbling up all the rights they can now.

I was just over kotaku and joystiq seeing the comments over this news. Man, they are bitching so much cuz is Wii exclusive, and because Wii isn't region free and hombrewing is a heck of a work.
Man, i laugh at ya all!!!!!
Homebrew takes no more than a couple of bucks (30 at least, don't buy TP, rent it or ask a friend for it as I did) and about 1 hour to get the stuff ya need, set the sd card and set it up all!!!!
Also, there are a lot of amazing things on Scene, like WiiDoom and WiiQuake!!!! (And more to come!!!!)

I have a Wii and a Ps3. Part of me says "Awesome! I have a Nintendo Wii!" then other half says "Crap! How am I going to play a Street Fighter game with the Wii controllers?!". Then the other part of me says "It's going to be awful!" then the other half says "Its going to be awesome!" "It's gonna suck!" "It's going to be great!" "Shut up! It should be on PS3" "No you shut up it's great on the Wii!" "Shut up" "No you shut up!" "No you!" "No you!".
AHRGH! CAPCOM! YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!

As a PSwii owner the fact I can play SFIV and this now makes me happy. This might have saved my wii from being thrown on craigslist.
