Best concert I ever saw was Sting at the (then known as) Paramount theater in New York City back in the early 90s. He played forever and we had awesome seats... not that there really was a bad seat at the Paramount.
A few weeks ago I saw the Police in concert with Elvis Costello and Sting was still just as awesome! So I recommend seeing Sting live if you ever have the opportunity.
A old girlfriend of mine met Sting in person 3 times and said he was always very nice, and he even remembered her name!
I was excited about this game, but I'm less interested with the addition of all the other instruments. I'd rather it was just guitar. I'm not interested in Rock Band and I just don't have the room in my house for all these instruments! However, I'm probably alone in this opinion.

I do enjoy The Police, but if I had to choose someone from that band, I'd go with Stewart Copeland. I just love his drumming style.

You are correct! Stewart Copeland is great!
I should have mentioned that he was also excellent when I saw them a few weeks back!

YES!
It is nice to know that there are folks out there that know and can hear the difference between Stewart Copeland's band (The Police) and Sting.
Whenever anyone tells me they want to be a drummer, I always tell them to learn how to play "Driven to Tears"...that song has some of the most amazing precision, musical drumwork ever recorded.
BTW, if you haven't seen it, check out the Stewart Copeland documentary of The Police called "Everybody Stares"...

Someone else said this here before, but they need to come out with a "Guitar Hero: Rockin' the Afterlife" edition where you rock out against legendary dead rock stars. How awesome would that be?

then i grew up and became crappy old me.
i dont blame sting though.

The USA Today article had Demoliton Man as the Police song in the game, and also mentioned Tool having Vicarious, Shism, and one other song I forgot on disc.
jughead789 @ Sep 5th 2008 2:24PM
A venue inspired by tool and the tool songs vicarious and parabola have also been confirmed...Cannot wait for this game
Nate @ Sep 5th 2008 3:13PM

Nathew @ Sep 6th 2008 4:04PM

Eric @ Sep 6th 2008 6:18PM
Yes, you can... listen to Tal Wilkenfield.
Marcelo @ Sep 6th 2008 6:53PM
That's supposed to be Sting? Looks like a punk rock Bill Murray.
marq @ Sep 8th 2008 4:37AM
yep, confirmed at ThePolice.com:
Sting to lend voice and likeness and plays Police TRack "Demolition Man."
But what about Andy Summers? "Message In A Bottle" anyone?
