First screens for MLB Superstars might cause your face to drop into your palm

We think one of our readers said it best.

When the game was originally announced, we thought it was going to be a train wreck, and these first screens of one of the minigames in MLB Superstars, Baseball Bocci, show that not only did the train get derailed and crash into a building, but that building was also full of babies, puppies and all of the most delicious candy in the world. We hate to be so harsh, but come on. It's baseball. Why would you try to combine it with bocci? Why?

I think we can safely say this is a horrid effort before we play it. It might have gameplay to redeem its total visual suckiness, but I don't think the best gameplay in the world would overcome the visuals. Seriously bad.

As a baseball fan I thought 'oh no' when I heard the annoucement, now I just cringe. Why do games like this have to be made on the Wii? It's not going to sell. It's not even a cash in.

2K only sent out shit this year (MLB 2k8, Top Spin 3?), not unsurprising they took a turn for the worst.

Me personally? I don't even like baseball so I could careless. lol
Though it would make sense to make a more realistic baseball game since Mario Sluggers will probably dominate the market.

1. i dont like baseball but
2. i can see this will fail, i mean third parties moan that nintendos first party titles dont give them enough breathing space, but the REAL problem is that they put effort into their titles while developers like 2k vomits out a sorry excuse for a shitty game.

surely if shovelware sells half decent on this console, then a game where the devs put some goddamn effort into it might sell, i dunno, better?
