Answer your Call of Duty this November
Veterans Day this year will be marked by silences, parades, and a bunch of people buying the latest Call of Duty game. Previous speculation that Call of Duty: World at War would launch in November has now been confirmed -- World at War will appear on November 11th, hopefully giving Wii owners an accomplished shooter to play before The Conduit arrives on the scene.
For some time, Activision has promised us that the (Zapper-compatible) Wii title will be "comparable" to versions on other consoles, based as it is on the Call of Duty 4 engine. We'll see how robustly such claims hold up a couple of months from now.

unless this game is REALLY good im gonna go ahead and skip this...
does anyone know if it uses FCs?
ththxtreme2 @ Sep 5th 2008 1:19AM
From what i have heard FC won't be used. The wii version is supposed to be just like the other version so if that was the case no friend codes would be used. If it has split multiplayer online like it was said to have I think this is a must buy for the wii.

Looks good, can't wait for some good ole' flag stealing... WWII is where it's at for me. First you have a great villain Adolph Hitler, he makes Saddam Hussien look like George Jetson. Second, Joeseph Stalin a seemingly good guy who is secretly maybe worse than Adolph himself. Third, Hirohito. Pearl Harbor 'nuff said. I read somewhere W@W will support Wii Speak, it better...

I'm planning on picking it up. Don't get me wrong, I like MoH: Heroes 2, but this game looks like it'll have a more engaging single-player campaign and likely a more robust multiplayer experience. Heroes 2 has an _excellent_ matching system through EA Nation...but somehow I want more...
Really, I just want flamethrowers. :-)

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick to death of WW2 shooters...
really, it's the same guys, fighting the same battles, against the same enemies, with the same (60 year old) guns
also, at the risk of sounding dumb... what do they do when they localize these games for like, Germany? I dunno, it seems a little weird to me to think of some guy in Germany playing a WWII shooter and shooting at German soldiers... Is there ever a moment when they're like "Damn, I just shot grandpa"? Are they less popular over there? It'd be like if they made a civil war shooter (god forbid), probably wouldn't do so well in parts of the south...

I was done with Call of Duty along time ago, this yearly thing gets old as hell, but I've read that the Wii version has a co-op mode where player 1 plays the game like an FPS while player two has a cursor onscreen and plays like an on-rail shooter.... that is so awesome. I just wish they could have made an original game with that feature and not yet another lifeless boring WW2 Call of Duty.

November 11th can't get here enough, can it??
Pie @ Sep 5th 2008 4:12PM
I actually don't mind FPSes on the Wii.

Call of Duty World at War for the 360 is the best.
Blood, gore, violence, strong random lanugage.
What more could you ask for?
Wii
Only lanuage
Call of Duty is known for is intense action. Wii doesn't have that.
It's like Dead Rising for the Wii, they EDIT all of this out.
Compare scores for Wii, PS3, and X Box 360
Wii: 8/10
Ps3:10/10
360:10/10
I'm sorry.
Compare scores. which one would you prefer.
NewBro @ Nov 30th 2008 2:12PM
Yes, I know.
Wii version is not as good as the 360 and PS3.
360 and PS3
Do co-op campaign with people around the world
BLOOD, GORE, INTENSE ACTION,
