Point/Counterpoint: Does Clone Wars need MotionPlus to succeed?

In this edition of Point/Counterpoint, we're tackling the issue of MotionPlus and Lucasarts' upcoming Star Wars game, The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. Sure, there's a rumor of another game in the works that will utilize the tech, but nothing is confirmed yet. Does a Star Wars game need MotionPlus? Yeah, I've never been a fan of star wars or the games but if MotionPlus was enabled I'd most definitely buy it!

Clone Wars will be a crap licensed cash-in regardless of motion-plus. Force Unleashed is the one that could really use it, but it would suck to have the Wii version delayed for that.

I just hope Force Unleashed comes out good. If the physics are good and force-powered throws with the nunchuck feel right, I'll be happy.

Clone wars and any game needs some effort put into it to be succesful. As said already, it looks like a cheap, quickly created game.

The gimmick tacked on duel mode of Force Unleashed for the Wii doesn't look like a much worse game, why should people buy this thing?

Making it use motionplus wouldn't help it, a motionplus lightsaber duel game for the Wii needs to be a good game first and foremost. I'm sure LA can manage to screw up the great concept nicely if they don't back their next game enough.

This game is pointless without wii motion plus..if it doesnt utilize the new peripheral then why would anyone buy it seeing as the game comes free in The Force Unleashed...they should just delay it and rework it with motion plus. the duel mode in
T.F.U. will tide us over till we can have 1:1 lightsaber duels.

tbh, i dont think motion plus would have been as useful in this game, the counterpoint was just right, they should do a first person lightsaber duel game, and split screen it for two players. now that would be amazing! :D
