5. Resident Evil 5
Capcom has been good to Nintendo. A strong friend since the early days, Capcom was there through the good times and the bad alike. When other companies had turned their back on Nintendo during the GameCube era, Capcom delivered several excellent titles that helped keep the console afloat. One of these was the obscenely amazing Resident Evil 4. Although it was eventually ported to the PS2 (and later the Wii), Capcom's decision to release it first for the GameCube and to support the console with other excellent titles was a strong vote of confidence in Nintendo.
However, a common thread throughout the Resident Evil series has been beautiful and cutting-edge graphics. And while the Wii is very capable in the graphics department, it's simply no match for the 360 and PS3's HD visuals. Thus, it wasn't much of a surprise when Capcom made the decision to develop the next iteration in the series for those systems. Capcom tried to make nice (profit) with Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. Yet some of the Nintendo faithful still feel slight betrayal at the perceived snub. Well, perhaps we'll get another Capcom Wii port. Who knows, someday we could be participating in the highly flammable race debate!
