Kororinpa 2 uses balance board, boasts bad GC demo

As you probably noticed (from the title), there's good news and bad news concerning the sequel to the early Wii title Kororinpa. Luckily, the good outweighs the bad. The good, in fact, is great: Kororinpa 2 will feature ten stages that utilize the balance board. While it's not Wii MotionPlus, that'll still add a neat (and challenging, if Wii Fit's marble mini-game is any indication) element to the sequel. The bad? According to the folks at IGN, the game looks terrible on the floor in Leipzig. Don't start huffing and stamping your feet over quality control just yet, though; Kororinpa 2 isn't due until next year. There's still time to give it a fix.

Honestly, I don't care about the balance board.

What I do care about is the ability for people who have created their own levels to be able to share them easily. That could be as simple as allowing save and loads from the SD card or right up to a tightly integrated upload and download service.

Then all you need is a web site where you can view the maps, rate them, rank the difficulty and download them plus some functionality to sort by most popular, most difficult and highest rated and I'll be in heaven :)

I'm so glad they're making a sequel. I really enjoyed the first one.
...except for that city level. The best of the game, especially the first level, was very pretty. That city level just looked like ass, though.

Does this mean that it requires the Balance Board or is it just optional for these levels?

And I agree with you Sam, the first one was really good.

I think this is a bad idea. People are going to have a hard time controlling their little ball thing if they have to keep quickly and precisely shifting their weight, which isn't that easy, in my opinion. The remote at least is easy to control.

That is what I am worried about, so I am wondering if it just a option if you want to use the Balance Board.

Yes, I also enjoyed the first one. Simple, but addicting, isn't it? Although I must say, I've played way too many games where the object of the game is to get a ball into a goal through a series of puzzles. (Super Monkey Ball, Switchball, Marble Mania, and now this). Not to say that they are unenjoyable. But just saying that there are too many games like that on the market.

...well, in recent years - all you've got is... that Wii Fit one.
...I don't think there's too many in the market, since not many have been made recently.

That's like saying the Wii has too many adventure/platform games... you can name a good handful, but there's simply not enough of them - or enough recently.
