GC 2008: Miis to rock out in Guitar Hero: World Tour

The Wii version of upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour just got a bit more unique. The title will apparently include Mii support, allowing those of you who don't want to go through the pain of modeling yourself in the custom character creator to still get your likeness into the game. No other details about the Mii implementation are available right now, sadly, but we're sure they'll shed some light on it soon enough.

For those of you that don't get the joke in the image above, be sure to head past the break for a brief explanation.

I'm of the belief that the option of Mii integration is always a good thing. It's there if you want to use it and if you don't like it you don't have to. I like seeing my Mii and my friend's Mii's in games.

A lot of people feel that Mii integration doesn't belong in some games, and that's cool. But if you have the option for it then everyone is happy.

While I agree that having your Mii in a Resident Evil game would take away from it, I wouldn't mind using my Mii to hunt down zombie Miis! There's an idea for developers!

I think it's awesome. There's never enough Mii integration in games. What's the point of having them if you can't use them for anything? Besides, the standard Guitar Hero characters are stupid, and I know I'll be too lazy and impatient to make my own. So bring on the Miis.

I thought 3rd parties "weren't allowed" to use miis to protect them from "ruining" their image.

I'm glad Neversoft actually put some time and effort into this game. Can't wait for this game!

And, I probably won't use Miis if they are your character, because the graphical difference between Miis & characters is huge and characters can probably be more detailed, but it's great someone thought of it anyway!

And, if Trogdor can be in Guitar Hero, why can't the WTR Theme be in it? Someone should at least put it up on GH Tunes. :D

I bet with mii support, the game will have a mii-set of parts, each piece has a Mii Channel counterpart, and it uses those pieces to make u. Also, the custom songs on this game, will we be able to put a song into it, or do we just play random notes?

I think it would be awesome if the game ran Miis through their own character creator, matching the Mii's features to its own, translating your Mii into the Guitar Hero style. Of course, it'd need the ability to check it and edit a thing or two if necessary.

Eye of the Tiger, Downloadable content, Make your own songs and it being Guitar Hero already makes me want this so much now if they add the Walker Texas Ranger Theme don't even get me started. In the eyes of a ranger the unsuspected stranger who better know the truth from wrong from right. MOO!

I've pre ordered my Guitar Hero World Tour Band Bundle from play.com this morning for £150 notes. I think that's a little too much but the software is in the box at least.

Release date tentively is 07.11.2008, but heres to fingers crossed.

Playing as my mii will get old. Quick. But at least i can turn it off.
