Rumor: Tony Hawk's Motion signals another add-on

Is Activision about to dip its bloated, corporate toe into the murky world of DS peripherals once again? Whispers about the next Tony Hawk game shipping with a motion-sensing device that plugs into the handheld (à la the Guitar Grip) have been flying around since, well, since the company revealed that the title would "utilize new technology not yet seen on the DS."

And now, your honor, we present the latest piece of evidence: an OFLC rating for a DS game known as Tony Hawk's Motion. Could that name suggest anything other than a motion-sensing device ~~or self-applicable go faster stripes for your DS~~? We've already seen the Guitar Grip peripheral snapped up by tons of people with a higher cramp tolerance than us, so maybe Activision wants more of that sweet pie.

Ah, the crazy, unhinged world of the DS plug-in peripheral. Activision's Guitar Grip was far from the first to appear on the scene -- back in 2006, Metroid Prime Pinball shipped with the Rumble Pak, while a DS camera, the Love and Berry card reader, and Taito's paddle controller are available in Japan. And who can forget Mag Kid's downright odd (and dangerous) "slide sensor"?

I just purchased the DS version of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for next to nothing and was extremely pleased. It had tight controls and graphics that are doubtlessly on par with the best games on the system, and really reminded me of the greatest aspects of the old THPS GBA games. At least with this one franchise, Activision seems to have a superb handle on the DS's capabilities, so I'm cautiously optimistic about what they could do with a motion peripheral (semi?)-designed for a Tony Hawk game.

Was it Metroid Prime *Hunters* that shipped with the rumble pack, or Metroid Prime *Pinball*? I think it was pinball...

It was Pinball. Diddy Kong Racing was great with the Rumble Pak, but I have a DS Lite, so It didn't fit right... Has Nintendo made a Rumble Pak for the Lite?

IFAIK, Nintendo has not sold a lite rumble pack. However there are alternatives. Google is your friend...

There is a smaller Rumble Pak for the DS Lite, but it's only available in Japan.

There is an error in the article. Metriod Prime: Pinball was actually the game that shipped with the rumble pak.

Can anyone with any rumble pack answer this question i have the ezflash 3in1, which has the rumble.

The rumble is pretty rubbish in my opinion, when it riumbles it just vibrates when i get hit etc but theres no variation in intensity, if its a hard blow should be a hard rumble, light blow light rumble but no its just the same rumble everytime.

My question is is the official rumble pack or other rumbles packs people are using the same as mine or does it rumble with different intensities in different situations?

Also i dont mean rumble duration!
