Sorry folks, looks like the new game
Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't going to be on Wii. It's purely a PS3 and Xbox 360 affair, as well as for the PC. Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams (we felt you needed the closure of knowing, rather than
never mentioning the game again), but the title isn't planned for Wii as of right now. That doesn't mean we can't hold out hope that the game will one day be ported to Nintendo's console. Just don't hold your breath on that one.

I wonder how much longer they'll ignore the Wii? Maybe they'll finally wake up when it surpassed the 360 and PS3's COMBINED install base..?

they will continue to ignore the Wii until everyone stops caring about it...wait a sec, i've already stopped caring (and sold mine)...

Then what the hell are you doing reading a Wii blog?
Crustin @ Aug 13th 2008 10:39AM
Then maybe it's time that you change your profile name from "s.mario" to something with PS3 or 360 in the name?
Bad Mojo @ Aug 13th 2008 10:48AM
Relax... once they incorporate some minigames into it, we'll be all set and back in action.

I continue to be mad at developers who don't take the time to put a port on the Wii. Are they scared of the control scheme? For crying out loud they can still use a Gamecube layout if they don't know how to utilize the motion controls and nunchuck features.

Wii can't handle the graphics :)
The best looking game on the Wii is SMG, made by Nintendo. NMH and RE:UC, third party games, look like shit.

Maybe this is where I differ from others, but I don't care about the graphics. Scale them down if needed, but c'mon! It's all about gameplay and replay value in my opinion.

I'd like to hear the excuse personally. I knew it wouldn't come to Wii, which is yet another slap in the face, but my hope for getting more devs over really looks to be shrinking. I couldn't agree more with samfish though.
Rocketboy @ Aug 13th 2008 11:29AM
At least the haters won't be able to point this game out as another lame licensed game on the Wii. Which is what I fear that it will be, well, the lame part, not the Wii part.
Synch @ Aug 13th 2008 12:21PM
...Wait, so is this a trick? A bad joke? Is the world of consumer electronics TRYING to force me to buy a system other than the Wii? They need to start taking things seriously.
I'm no longer surprised by these "______ not coming to Wii" newsposts. Disgusted, yes. Infuriated, yes.
Surprised? Nope.

I doubt that this game will ever come out for the Wii, given that it's based on Unreal Engine 3. IIRC, Unreal Engine 3 doesn't work for the Wii (not saying it couldn't or shouldn't, just saying that Epic can't/won't support it on the Wii).
