il_duce620 @ Aug 11th 2008 10:19AM
Wake me up when Mega Man 1/2/9 get released...
Although, Strong Bad is supposed to be good. Are you guys (Wii Fanboy, that is...) going to put up a review of it?
David Hinkle @ Aug 11th 2008 11:17AM
Yep, look for it later today.

I was looking forward to Madden until I played NCAA Football 2009. The over-use of waggle and out of place Mii integration was too much. Hopefully Madden won't be as crippled as NCAA was. Online play is a definite plus though.

SBCG4AP FTW! :D
Lianne @ Aug 11th 2008 11:08AM
SBCG4AP!! At last!!!
I'm so downloading that after work. :P

Strong Bad looks interesting, as does Line Rider 2, but Madden 09 looks like a great new version. Tim, don't bother comparing NCAA 09 and any other football game. It was an abortion and most websites loving Madden 09 on the Wii. Even the experts are confused on EA put out such a terrible game like NCAA 09 and yet Madden 09 looks wonderful (especially calling your shots).
Tim @ Aug 11th 2008 12:32PM
Just read about the "Call Your Shot" feature for the first time. That looks sick! I'm a much bigger college football fan so I had high hopes for NCAA, but maybe I can get my football fix from Madden to tide me over until next year.
Sisyphus @ Aug 11th 2008 12:37PM
I'm in the same boat. I much prefer NCAA football games and was really looking forward to the first attempt on the Wii, but it wasn't meant to be. I'm gonna play Madden 09 until they figure out how to make NCAA work well on the Wii.
jan_halmes @ Aug 11th 2008 1:24PM
I can't believe Line Rider is retail and not Wii-Ware. CRAZY.
And $30 no less. That' just nuts.
Atlantis1982 @ Aug 11th 2008 1:10PM
It amazes me people are still buying Madden. >.>
No thanks on these releases.

I'm sooo excited for Madden All Play, but then I'm not. Again, I am 100% for Gameplay > Graphics because , but when it comes to football, I'd like my games to look at real as possible and I want THE best presentataion. And when I look at Madden for the other consoles, I want to cry (because I dont have a 360 or PS3 and really wanst looking to get one) And Mii integration in Madden is soooooo uncesecarry. I dont need my Mii as a referee. Also, using waggle for touchdown celebrations is going to get lame after about the 5th touchdown. Why couldnt they have put endzone hot spots like they are doing for the other consoles? Then MAYBE u could use some waggle for that.
The one reason why I am kind of excited for All Play is because of the new "Call Your Shots" feature & supposedly better online play (though you still cant chat with other people. F*cking conservative Nintendo again)
I am seriously considering getting a 360 or PS3 for the very few good games that it has, for me it would be Madden ,GTA4 and RE5 (unless that do release it for Wii) , but thats pretty much it. I'll be picking up my copy of Madden All Play tonite, but if i'm not liking it by the end of the week, i'm taking it right back.
offday @ Aug 11th 2008 5:01PM
There are very few good games on the 360? That's news to me. You're either kinda slow, or the world's pickiest gamer.
Joe Cart @ Aug 11th 2008 5:35PM
@ Offday,
ok then wiseguy. first off, i'm not much into any microsoft products to begin with, I would only get a 360 for Madden & GTA (like I stated above) I'm not into the halo thing, nor gears of war, soooo whats left? Comon, tell me. Name some actual quality games that can be mentioned in the same sentence as Super Mario or Legend of Zelda. Don't insult somebody without knowing what your talking about first. Maybe YOUR the slow one... (though I will admit I am a picky gamer)
Sisyphus @ Aug 11th 2008 10:54PM
It sounds like you had the same initial turnoff towards endzone celebrations that I did. But then I realized that you needn't do the wagglefest every time you score. Do you really need to pump up your players even more when you're already up by six touchdowns? And if you're scoring in a close game, pump your fists a couple times and be done with it. Or just skip it entirely.

Brian @ Aug 11th 2008 9:28PM
can you please explain what the problem is with NCAA 08 for Wii is? I was leaning towards that vs Madden but it appears based on these comments that may be an error.
Thanks.
Sisyphus @ Aug 11th 2008 10:55PM
Like I've said before, I prefer the college experience to the NFL, but the NCAA 09 for the Wii just had a laundry list of issues, including bad graphics and missing game modes. You should checkout some of the reviews on Gamespot and IGN.
