Wii Fanboy presents: Game Night [update 2]
Update 2: The staff has left the Game Night chat. Plenty of folks are still in there, gaming as you read this. So head on into the chat already!
With the return of our weekly sessions last week, we decided a reminder was needed. So, we whipped up the above video, which shows Dave enjoying some Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, along with some Mario Kart Wii. If you look closely, you can even see Chris ram Dave underneath a car. How cruel!
Hijinks like the above, and more, are commonplace at Game Night. So, for the full details on what Game Night is all about, head past the break.
Welcome to Game Night, a fun activity where we (the staff) and you (the reader) get together and enjoy the multiplayer games available on the Nintendo Wii and DS, every Thursday evening. We meet in a chat room (which you can access by clicking here) and, after exchanging a few friend codes, we get our game on. Sounds simple enough, right?
It is! All you need to do is look for this post to be at the top of the page around 7pm ET tonight, and there'll be a big link in the post, informing you all that Game Night is a go. Click that link, then you're in. Or, you can just click the chat room link above and hang out for awhile. We'll be there around 7pm ET.
Thanks to everyone for participating and we hope to see you there tonight!

Now, I pray I can sleep near the Wii again and my WiFi works this time. I'll be Brawling. Get me in a good enough mood and I'll be playing Mario Kart.
Go1denchi1d @ Aug 7th 2008 2:39PM
Yes char! Time for you to go down in MkWii!
bukizzle715 @ Aug 7th 2008 1:59PM
Does anyone play Brawl, or is it too laggy?
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 2:01PM
People are always looking to Brawl, actually. I just didn't play Brawl last week, hence why it wasn't in the video. :)
Hope to see you there tonight!
Char6296 @ Aug 7th 2008 2:25PM
Everybody loves Brawl... >)
Go1denchi1d @ Aug 7th 2008 2:40PM
indeed!
Mr Khan @ Aug 7th 2008 3:45PM
It's usually fine in friended matches
Garu @ Aug 7th 2008 2:11PM
Wouldn't it have been awesome if Wii Sports Bowling had wi-fi play? I wonder if Wii Sports Resort will offer any?
How about we all get together at David's house and play some Atari 2600 Pong? It would be like video game sorbet to cleanse the pallet.
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 2:42PM
Actually, I can imagine how that'd go down. You all walk into my house, see how I live, then shake your head in disgust and angrily leave.
Sounds like fun!
:D
Garu @ Aug 7th 2008 2:45PM
You never know! I got married last year, so I may be envious of how you live. =)
And I'm only one state away in beautiful New Jersey!
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 3:12PM
Oh no, it gets closer and closer! :D
bukizzle715 @ Aug 7th 2008 2:37PM
I like Brawl too, but I haven't played it online since I first got it, because it's always like watching a slide show. Oh well, once I get my new internet connection up I'll have to join this gaming night thing and see what it's all about.
Go1denchi1d @ Aug 7th 2008 2:40PM
You know David I own MOH2 and I never play it. It looks pretty fun though! Maybe I'll add it to my game night list someday!
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 2:42PM
Dude, pistol duels are great. Heck, that game is just full-on great. You should play a little less Mario Kart and get with the shooting your fellow man! :)
TheOverlord#2 can has Animals Crossing? @ Aug 7th 2008 4:25PM
We should get everyone who has it for a Deathmatch at the Port!
CaptAwesome @ Aug 7th 2008 3:12PM
ARGHI have to work tonight. and I finally got Mario Kart Wii I really finally have every popular Game Night game and cant use them because of work: Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl. stupid work.
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 3:23PM
The solution seems pretty obvious to me. Find a new job.
Of course, I'm just kidding. But, still. You should just quit your job.
CaptAwesome @ Aug 7th 2008 3:38PM
i would love to that. but jobs are hard to come by and get the time to find.
especially with school and band I hardly have the time to look.
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 3:47PM
No worries, I was just kidding. :)
CaptAwesome @ Aug 7th 2008 4:15PM
Well you should add me on medal of honor heroes 2 anyways
My name is Acholism
so send me a request and we can play whenever.
Kamek @ Aug 7th 2008 4:30PM
Hey this is kind of off topic but what were the names of the songs in that video?
TheOverlord#2 can has Animals Crossing? @ Aug 7th 2008 4:42PM
I probably can't add anyone in MKWii(FC list full), but I might make some exceptions this Game Night.(I'm recently caught up in Okami & Animal Crossing(I'm replaying the original during the wait for AC:CF!))
My Wi-Fi list: MoH:H2(TheOverlord2), Brawl(1461-5875-9923), Mario Kart Wii(2578-3517-9859), LoZ:PH(4983-6593-6287), MKDS(159021-990437)
Konzo @ Aug 7th 2008 5:35PM
I'll be there for Mario Kart Wii and maybe (MAYBE) some Brawl if it isn't laggy.
And also, I never knew that there was a Medal of Honor game for the Wii with online. I'll be sure to check the store in my town and see if I can rent it, looks fun.
Razor @ Aug 7th 2008 5:41PM
How late does this generally go on til?
TheOverlord#2 can has Animals Crossing? @ Aug 7th 2008 6:50PM
David/Wii Fanboy Staff should really put this in the Game Night posts. Everyone asks during the chat.
7 PM ET - 8 PM ET: Wii Fanboy/DS Fanboy staff are playing.
7 PM ET - when everybody leaves: Full Game Night
David Hinkle @ Aug 7th 2008 6:56PM
I'll make a point to from here on out, Overlord. Thanks for helping out with the infoz. :)
Lanceh @ Aug 7th 2008 5:57PM
The Game Night videos always have the most bizarre and inappropriate music. XD I love it.
andy @ Aug 8th 2008 2:11AM
I love atom and his package! Its good to see his music pop up randomly like this.
