Hopefully its got the online features of Madden 08, with the feature of being bug-free like Madden 07.
In any case, as long as its nowhere near as utterly horrible as NCAA Football for the Wii, it should be good. (07 and 08 were really good games, bugs aside for the 08 version).

Oh I wasnt too impressed with last year's online play for 08, mainly because of the game lag (which is unacceptible for freakin FOOTBALL GAME) and also because of the lack of interactivity with other oponents. I'd like to be able to actual create my own messages to send to other oponents rather than use those lame pre-made messages like "Hello" or "how are you" or "you need more practice playing". Also, will Wii Speak would be nice if it were compatible with Madden so I can talk junk to my opponents.
And even though I'm totally a supporter of Gameplay > Graphics, would it hurt EA to give us similar presentation to the 360 or Ps3? I mean Mii's as referees? You've got to be kidding me. And no player intros? Al Michaels and John Madden call the action AGAIN and 360 players get to hear new commentary froom Tom Hammand and Chris Collinsworth? So unfair. Come on EA. You know what the Wii is capable of. Look at games like Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy and say no more. Stop giving us gamecube-ish visuals for a major sports title like Madden. Its getting very old.
Though, I do want to credit the producers of All Play for their Wii Exclusive "Call Your Shots" mode. That looks really cool.

Joe Cart,
The visuals in 09 have actually gotten a nice boost over 07, 08.

I know at least one long-time EA football fan that felt completely ripped off by EA's NCAA '09 for the Wii and will therefore not be picking up Madden '09 for any console. Only way I'd even consider it is if the online play is at least somewhat playable.

oh, it's completely playable...i've played 4 games, 1 of which disconnected immediately after choosing my team, so it wasnt crucial or anything...

Yikes. All Play sounds like it could dilute the tried-and-true control scheme in an attempt to accommodate newcomers.
