The World Ends with Apparel
Another benefit to being one of the lucky few to attend the Square Enix DKΣ3713 event, besides getting to play new games and see trailers and be surrounded by journalists (what do you mean that's no benefit?) is that awesome exclusive merchandise is available for purchase.
Seen above: two strangely fashion-backward shirts for the very fashionable The World Ends with You. They feature the date of the event and the TWEWY skull logo on the back, and an assertion that "I PARTICIPATE IN THIS GAME" on the front. We must admit that we're charmed by the boldness of the shirt. Sometimes you want to wear art, and sometimes you just want to be a huge nerd.

I love TWEWY, I really do, but I wouldn't wear this. The colour black is for the obese.
Also: "yellow is for men", "pink is for womens."
Did that really say womens? The grammar error makes that statement even more hilarious.
Kimiko @ Aug 3rd 2008 3:45PM
It says "The pink is womens." actually. Still not entirely correct, but better at least.

Stupidest comment ever.
"I love TWEWY, I really do, but I wouldn't wear this. The colour black is for the obese."
I weigh 124 lbs (male) and i wear black clothes all the time, dick head! So WTF!
Zealot @ Aug 3rd 2008 4:39PM
And then there's the implication that only thin people are allowed to wear good clothing. Yay for blatant prejudices!
Ponza Report @ Aug 4th 2008 12:12AM
Agreed. I'm 145, 6' tall, and I wear black t-shirts. I just like 'em. I wouldn't mind having one of those TWEWY shirts, actually, because I like shirts that people will never get the reference to, ever. Example: "Slackerz" webcomic Johnny Turbo shirt.
Other shirts... they don't even compare.
SephFinale @ Aug 8th 2008 12:15PM
I love shirts no one gets the reference to. Like my Ikaruga t-shirt. Worth the $20 I paid for it. :3
jadenguy @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:16PM
Did anybody else look at the shirt and wonder how hard it would be to win a battle with those pins equipped?
VeganTnT @ Aug 4th 2008 1:11AM
Don't forget that a shirt that says you participate in this game must mean that you play tin pin over wifi.
I have 4 of those pins in my deck (strong heart, red skull, lucky star, and peace full)
playing the story mode with that deck is asking to have your ass handed to you.
jadenguy @ Aug 5th 2008 11:25PM
Oh. Yeah.
Madhatter @ Aug 4th 2008 5:58AM
it's funny coz i'd probably kill a man for a players badge.
katakumi @ Aug 4th 2008 12:54PM
I would probably kill for a player pin, too.. if I didn't know where to order them! http://www.cafepress.com/losttrap/ You'll find player pins (both black and red versions) and a few other styles here!
jadenguy @ Aug 5th 2008 11:25PM
You could die for a player pin?
Rummelsnuff @ Aug 4th 2008 9:14AM
So when will they be available on PlayAsia.com or something like that? Well, at least you quit promoting scamming sites like this one - http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/05/01/if-youve-been-waiting-for-a-blooper-hoodie-todays-your-lucky/
nyaonyao @ Aug 14th 2008 8:31AM
The official one looks great! But I can't attend that event so I made my own TWEWY shirt. I'll post pics soon!
