Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days dated (sort of)

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is supposed to be playable at Square Enix's acronym-tastic event this weekend in Tokyo, so it's no surprise that the company has confirmed that the DS title is still on track for release this year. If you want anything more specific than "winter," though, you'll have to wait; nothing else has yet been announced. We're keeping our fingers crossed for several sets of impressions from DKΣ3713.

Certainly looks dated. Haha.
I'm just not sure that the DS is the best platform for a 3D action adventure... and after reading 1up's hands on with the game, well, I don't have much hope for the game. I guess I'll wait and see...

1u had nearly only bad things to say about 358... I hate those fricking PSP Fanboys... I for myself will hope for some videofootage and a early US/EU release date too. Man how I wait for this game to come out

I love reading 1up, they have a PC bias but I think on handhelds they're pretty open minded. It seems that way when you watch them talk about DS games on the 1up Show.

Really? Most of their complaints seemed focused on flaws, rather than just personal preference. D-pad movement in a 3d environment is never optimal, close-in camera with no way to control it sounds a bit strange, but might work out, and only a small number of enemies onscreen doesn't sound very Kingdom Heartsy to me. That said, I'll still give it a chance.
Oh, and don't be fooled by my icon there, I own/love both portables :)

Is the winter 2008 release for Japan or the US? cz if its only being released in Japan, it could be several more years until its released in the US, in which case, i will lose my mind
