Sega tags USPTO with Jet Set Radio trademark
Sega has already enjoyed a measure of success with two ports from its wonderful Dreamcast line-up, and now Jet Set Radio will join the likes of Shenmue on the "rumored" pile. A "Jet Grind Radio" trademark was filed over at the USPTO last week by Sega, while Kotaku heard whisperings at the ongoing Comic-Con 2008 festival that the trademark referred to a new Wii game.
Though we should emphasize the "whisperings" part of that last sentence, it's difficult not to get massively over-excited by the idea of a Jet Set Radio on Wii. The original game, now a breathtaking eight years old, exuded style and flair from every pore, with to-die-for cel-shaded visuals and a soundtrack that is played on the Wii Fanboy stereo to this day. We'd take a trip back to Shibuya-cho and Professor K any day of the week, and we'll do it with Wii MotionPlus compatibility, if you're reading this, Sega.

Loved JSRF on Xbox1. WiiMotionPlus for tagging.... Balance Board for grind balance. Dare we dream so high?

Jet Set Radio!
I loved that game. In fact, JSRF was the reason why I brought a Xbox - in the early days it looked like Sega would release the majority of their games on that system.
Anyway, a lack of a Dreamcast meant I never played the original, so I'd buy a port without hesitation. Or even JSRF. Imagine a whole new game! Seriously, I would love this so much more than the rumoured Shenmue 1/2 remake. Come on Sega: do it!

In the early days of the Xbox, when SEGA was sold, Microsoft was one of the primary bidders.
I really don't know how Sammy did it, frankly

Thank God MS didn't buy up Sega. They were also moving to buy Nintendo up around that time, too, if I'm not mistaken.
While I would love to see Nintendo buy out Sega, it would probably be a horrible thing as I fear it would start a buy out war and we could kiss Capcom, Konami, Square and others goodbye.

Awesome? Yes.
But Space Channel 5 Wii would be MORE awesome.
Plus it'd be an excuse to avatarize nakedUlala.

That'd be awesome as well. And the simplicity of it would fit perfectly with the Wii controls.

AHHH!!!!
YES!! I loved the Jet Grind DreamCast game but I never owned a Dreamcast (or an XBox).
I have specifically commented to friends of mine that JET SET RADIO would be the PERFECT game for the Wii balance board. I don't think we need motion plus for the tagging.... but hey... whatever....
AHHHHH PLEASE make this happen, Sega!!!!

A *new* game would be cool, a port, to wii? less so.+
I'd download an XBLA remake pretty fast though :)

I had just dusted off my Dreamcast this past week and played JGR. It was definetly one of the best DC games. Having beat it numerous times, I went ahead and busted out my XBOX to play JSRF and try to finish all of it (freaking 140 Graffiti Souls...).
While playing, I was hoping for a Wii release of a new game with coop or at least better multiplayer. My wish just came true.
